Narrative- On 26Sept16 at 1348 hrs. I, Deputy Halbasch, was advised of a trespassing incident reported by Ken Bjorn. Ken advised dispatch he wanted to file a report for trespassing, but did not want to see a deputy right at the moment. I contacted Ken by phone and inquired about the trespassing. Ken stated every fall when hunting season starts, he finds evidence that someone is trespassing on his property around the house, and near Brush Lake. Ken stated he found his gate open & that someone tore down his no trespassing sign on the gate. The value if the sign is $5.00. Ken informed me last year he found someone on the land, but did not report it to the HCSO & so far this year he has not been able to catch anyone in the act. Ken stated
he would be spending time on the land trying to catch whomever it is that is trespassing and he could contact the HCSO again if/when someone is located. Ken stated he believes it is the same person each year as it has been ongoing for some time now. At this time there are no suspects & Ken was advised to contact the HCSO if/when someone is found on the land. No further action taken at this time. Deputy Brian Halbasch – 5116 Hubbard Co. Sheriff’s Office
The differentiation between open fields and private property must be made before one can proceed to form an opinion regarding the constitutionality of a warrantless search of an open field. Oliver v. United States is a case in which police officers, acting on reports from neighbors that a patch of marijuana was being cultivated on the Oliver farm, entered on to private property ignoring “No Trespassing” signs, and on to a secluded open portion of the Oliver property without a warrant, discovered the marijuana patch and then arrested Oliver without an arrest warrant. The Maine Judicial Court held that “No Trespassing” signs posted around the Oliver property “evinced a reasonable expectation of privacy,” and therefore the court held that the “open fields” doctrine was not applicable to the Oliver case.
A trespasser is someone who does not have a land-owner 's express or implied permission to be on his or her property. Generally, a landowner does not owe a duty to trespassers; however, there are some exceptions to this rule. Children, for example, are an exception to this rule. A land-owner owes a duty warn of dangers on the land if they know or reasonably should have known that children are likely to trespass. For example, a landowner who owes a trampoline, reasonably should know that children are likely to trespass on his or her property. With regard to adults, a landowner has a duty to provide warning of injury. For example: signs that say “electric fence” or “beware of dog” are reasonable warnings for trespassers to prevent

“Go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200.” It’s the most unfortunate and inconvenient rule in the book, triggering paralysis while the other players are free to use their $200 to taunt you while “just visiting” you in the slammer.

Officer L. Kosinski, Chesapeake Police Department reported the following took place on 01/04/16 in the city of Chesapeake:
Something happened my sophomore year of high school that little did I know would change my perspective, not only of myself, but life in general. I was looking for something new and exciting to enhance my high school existence and decided to give the Criminal Justice Club a try. I was familiar with the advisor of the club, but knew that the club had astigmatism for attracting those students who were just looking for something easy to do. I knew about the criminal justice system, but only what they show on Law and Order. However, I immediately fell in love, not only with the club but the entire prospect of Criminal Justice. I stepped into the club as if it were a place I belonged and easily became a leader. I was able to learn things the TV shows
Since the last update, I have continue to move around in the news department by shadowing reporters, anchors and or photographers that I have not got a chance to interact with. I got to help record UAB track team at the Birmingham CrossPlex and that was my first time seeing a live track race, which I thought was pretty cool. I also got to help out when Governor Siegelman was release from prison at the airport; we did a live shot for the evening show. Went out with Jamiese Price to get footage of the new Bessemer City Hall and got to interview a few people including the mayor and asked some of my own questions as well as, I even got to meet Rhonda Robinson. I went out with Melanie Posey to cover a fatal crash that was in Oak Grove and interview both principals from the elementary and high school. That was a very tough moment and seeing how close the principals were to the students was a tragic moment for them. As, I watch and listen to the question that Melanie was asking and to see the principal break down and cry and how she

My story started about a week ago. I was heading to bed early, because I was tired from a long day with plans to wake up a few hours before class to review for a test. As I closed my books for the evening and headed to bed around midnight, little did I know something was going on outside.
& nbsp; Hunting on private lands is one of the best ways to hunt, because the game is plentiful, and there is a challenge to the sport. However, when lands are. owners encounter a slob hunter on their lands, they are much less likely to let. anyone hunt their land in the future? When a person wishes to hunt on a certain person's land, s/he is often denied the privilege, after the proprietor of the land has had one negative experience with some other hunters.

The door opened and in walked the hated vice-principal of my high school, who walked straight up to my 3rd hour English teacher and whispered something into his ear. They both turned and looked in my direction. I stared back blankly, wondering why they were looking at me. Through an undoubtedly bad experience in high school, I learned a very valuable lesson about life, people, and events.
