Toyota Motor Corporation is one of the bigger automobile industries in the world, located in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. This corporation was founded in 1937 by the Toyoda family. Toyota has a subsidiary that has known as Toyota Australia. Toyota Corporation itself have been doing their business in almost all around the world with 50 manufacturing firms abroad in 26 countries and regions.

Steps that were taken by Toyota to move their factories to Europe are a reaction to the volatility. This is because the Yen rose against the euro, so that it becomes increasingly more expensive for Toyota in selling their Japanese cars that were manufactured in the European market.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, U.S.A. (TMM) is deviating from the standard assembly line principle of jidoka in an attempt to avoid expenses incurred from stopping the production line for seat quality defects. This deviation has contributed to the inability to identify the root cause of the problem, which has led to decreased run ratios on the line and an excess of defective automobiles in the overflow lot for multiple days. If this problem isn’t fixed quickly, an increased amount of waste will continue to be incurred and customer value will be threatened.

Throughout the course, I have discussed numerous aspects of Toyota Motors Corporation. This company is very successful within the automotive manufacturing industry, despite their numerous issues based on product recalls and unethical standards. Although these were serious setbacks, Toyota still remains the number one automaker in which they produced 10.08 million units in 2015 (Schmitt, 2016). In addition, the corporation has numerous strategies, practices, and policies that attributes to their success.

It is the 2nd largest U.S based automaker and it ranks 53rd in the Forbes list of World’s Biggest Auto Companies 2013.Ford has become a pioneer in its field to a great extent by efficiently leveraging social media. This helped Ford accomplish long-term goals over social media by deploying one-off campaigns and making a regular commitment to marketing and customer engagement on social media.
According to The Star Online, up to 80% of the total group borrowings of RM7.49 billion were denominated in US dollar. Simultaneously, 8% of the total group borrowings were denominated in Euro currency. A sensitivity analysis conducted by CIMB Research revealed that IOI could face RM148 million of loss or gain for foreign exchange translation risk with every RM0.10 rise/drop in Ringgit to US dollar exchange rate. Due to substantial losses on foreign exchange translation and fair value loss on derivative loss, the company predicted that the second quarter net profit of 2017 will be dropped by 98% to RM15.6 million, compared to the first quarter net profit recorded at RM703.7 million (Kok, 2017).
