Warren Buffet once said, “Price is what you pay, value is what you get.” These words have a very significant meaning when a business is looking to make a major decision. Everyone knows the price of buying a new piece of equipment, but very few understand the value. When searching for large growth opportunities it is the value of the equipment that matters, not the price tag. For your company, the Toyo Jidoki TT-9CW offers value far beyond the numbers on the price tag.
The Toyo Jidoki TT-9CW is a 2011 state of the art automated pre-formed rotary pouch filling machine. This machine has a fill volume range of 50-350 cc, and can accommodate various pouch sizes from 80 mm wide by 100 mm tall to 150 mm wide by 150 mm tall. This allowable size range makes the machine versatile and capable of running a wide range of products. This machine is capable of operating safely at a rate of 100 pouches per minute, a vast increase from the maximum 60 pouch per minute fill rate of the TT-8CN of which your company currently runs. The TT-9CW is also more energy efficient than the TT-8CN, meaning a savings in overall operating costs. With the increased production capacity and increased energy efficiency, this new pouch filling machine could be the competitive advantage your company is looking for based on production speed and energy savings alone, but this product has even more to offer in terms of business expansion and growth.
The new TT-9CW is capable of far more than high production speeds, it can also run products that are currently unavailable to run on the TT-8CN machines that are operating in your facilities. One of these new options is the “spoutable” preformed pouch. This type of pouch is currently run by a single other comp...

...pen and waiting to be filled by any company that can meet its needs. This market could be yours if an equipment update from the TT-8CN to the TT-9CW is made before another company recognizes this opportunity. This circumstance is best surmised by Alex Noble, who said “Risk is essential. There is not growth of inspiration in staying within what is safe and comfortable.”

In the production of T.W Sherrin’s products there are a number of upstream suppliers that contribute to the success and marketability of the brand. The major suppliers of production materials include an Australian tannery company and an Indian latex company. Together they form the basis of the Sherrin product range. Add to this a packaging supplier and marketing firms and it is no wonder why this company is so successful in business-to-business trading.

The company is also leading the way in innovativeness and has already received recognition for introducing innovative products. This is one of the strengths of the company since innovative products will help to differentiate its products from the other competitor products as well as the new products can be exclusively branded as compared to the other flagship products from older Soviet times.
The company estimates the market size for the individual segment to be at $20 million and aims to achieve $0.2 Million revenues from this segment in the first year. Despite a superior product, the sales of Kathon MWX reached a meager 6 % of the annual plan in first five months. Rohm and Haas wishes to re-evaluate its strategy in order to tap this huge segment to significantly increase sales volume and market share of Kathon MWX.
Black and Decker (B&D) is one of the leading brands across the globe in terms of producing high-quality portable power tools, yet it still cannot take the lead from other brands such as Makita and Milwaukee. While gaining 35% and 37% of market shares of B&D products from the consumer and the industrial segments respectively, the number to stare at is the market shares gained from the tradesmen segment, valuing at only 28%. Considering its other competition, B&D only garnered 9% market shares from tradesmen. Consistently, the irony raises much concern to R&D, since it already has a good reputation of producing high-quality power tools, as well as gaining global recognition as one of the most popular brands. B&D cannot seem to gain a good market share from the tradesmen segment, and thus, bringing down the B&D name with it.

With this opportunity in rise Kinko´s faces a decision with huge transformation as an organization, meaning restructuring, departments, operations and service functions. Accordingly this decision faces another issue: timing. Either they start pursing the challenge now or lose the opportunity of being first mover advantage and differentiate themselves in the niche market, allowing them to stick key corporate accounts or they might give the preferential occasion to another fast growing market : self owned machines provided by (what they believe is their competition) Xerox and IKON. But where they really providing their same solution? Maybe as an overall outcome (or product), but what they are not providing is Kinko´s Service Solution. This is where Kinko´s can and need to work, in order to provide key differentiation strategy and position themselves in the actual and potential customers mind, building the need for their service and adding value to their brand .

Each cash recycler new would cost the bank around $25,000 per machine ("RBG-200 - teller cash recycler." RBG-200 - teller cash recycler. N.p., n.d. Web. 07 Feb. 2017. ..) The initial cost upfront maybe greater than the annual 12 month rolling outage and this number is not calculating the overtime pay that the bank is paying the non-exempt employees. By adding TCR’s into the branch this will reduce the number of outages the bank is seeing improving the operations of the bank.
