Disadvantages Social Aspects The use of technology by children will hinder the children's ability to engage with their families, and will have an effect on their communication skills that they will need at school, and as they advance in their lives. Being saturated at home with leisure technologies is seen as a key factor. Many parents see these electronic devises as babysitting devices rather than educational, and thus parents encourage the use of these devices. Technology at a very young age has very bad negative aspect on the child's social skills, and emotional development. The presence of the handheld devices in the child's early learning stages also hinders their ability to learn righting, and may cause addiction. (Karadag, R) Scientific studies proved that when a person is righting, their sences are activated allowing their minds to accept more information, so the use of tablets in early learning stages may have an effect on their ability to understand and process information. Health problems aside, you should also consider the social and psychological aspects of using a Table...
It can cause many distractions, it can be difficult to use and can take away from learning time. People are convinced that technology is an effective tool that will further learning. This can be true, but when you use tablets and different devices in class for an hour every day, the students will not be focused on schoolwork. In the article “Technology in the Classroom: Beginnings and Endings”, Mary Ann Matras suggests that, “The pencil is still the most efficient tool”.
Recently, many schools have initiated a blended learning programme. These programmes provide a one-on-one student to device ratio and have caused much controversy. This scrutiny is only intensified when discussing the effect of such environments on children as young as the age of six, and many experts disagree with this practice. This essay will discuss the negative effects of younger children using devices (predominately iPads). Some of these reasons include: the negative effect iPads have on a developing child's social skills; the way these devices hinder muscle development, especially in the region of the hand and wrist; the possibility of becoming addicted; and the detrimental repercussions on the brains ability to process words and sounds quickly. Ipads are also proven to reduce young children's vocabulary.

They loose exersice from running around and buring calories . Obesity is a huge facotr in the united states espcially in younger kids . Its a huge factor because, they are so involved into what they are watching and playing games on a tablet when they eat, they rather eat and be in front of an active screen then taking the time to get fresh air outside and running around.
Technology is so easy for the youth to access and there are many things that affect children through the use of technology. Children can misuse technology by accessing inappropriate materials, most kids today have smart phones and are able to access this so easily. Another reason children are affected by technology is that they are never taught how to properly use it, so they begin to think what they are doing is okay, when it is not, at a young age. My generation is more prone to the misuse of technology because they have grown up with it and it has been apart of their childhood. As technology becomes more developed it will be more vibrant in children’s lives and as they grow up it will become more of a part of their childhood. The more it is in a child’s life the more it will become more known. I did not receive a phone until I was 14 and it was not even an IPhone, but today there are children who have IPhones at the age of 8. This affects children because they are becoming more dependant on technology as a young child and they think that it is alright to depend on technology. They are given technology and they do not know how to use it properly nor do they know that it is not okay for them to depend on technology and that they need to depend on their minds to do things not just technology. The more technology comes involved in children’s lives the more it will affect them throughout their

The standard 21 year old adults have exchanged 250 thousand emails, spent 5 thousand hours video gaming and 10 thousand hours using their mobile devices (Lei, 2009). When people hear the word technology, they think of microwaves, televisions, cars, NASA, different types and transportation and more. For all that, technology has occurred long ahead these discoveries. Technology is an arguable matter amongst people. .In the old days, people lived an extremely simple life without technology. They used candles to light their houses and lanterns at the dark to travel, they used fire to cook and used newspapers and mail to share news. On the other hand, technology has seized an important place in our society. People are living in a stage of progressive technology. They are using all natural reserves applicable for making their lives better and easier. The society cannot picture life without electricity since it allows them to live through their everyday life. This paper argues that technology positively impacts people’s lives.
In our present society, people cannot deny that the changes in this world have been tied to the advancement of the technology. It has evolved with this society so deeply where such conveniences are no longer luxuries but rather necessities. Unfortunately, the most affected group of people from the developed technology is the younger age people (Subrahmanyam, 2000). In the past, children were more lively and active: playing outdoors, running around, climbing trees and remaining active rather than watching television and playing video game and computer. It is true that the use of the technology has its own virtue. It provides value, convenience and entertainment, but it should not take the place of movement and realistic play from the children. Obviously, modern technology such as television, digital game, cell phone, and computer should be considered as a major fact, which contributing to negative health problems in children.
Observation of children using an increased amount of technology showed a loss of social skills such as sharing and interaction with other children or adults, and also showing increased aggressiveness. In comparison, children who used a more traditional hands on approach seemed to be more creative, active and a greater sense of social skills. All this can contribute to successful literacy learning. Technology is one of life’s most impressive and incredible phenomena’s. The main reason being the shockingly high degree to which our society uses technology in our everyday lives. It occupies every single realm, affecting people both positively and negatively. There are so many different forms of technology but the two most often used are cell phones, and the internet/computers in general. Today’s younger generation was raised alongside technological development. Kids now a days learn how to operate computers and cell phones at a very early age, whether it be through their own technological possessions, a friend’s, or their parents. They grow up knowing how easily accessible technology is, and the endless amount of ways in which it can be used. This paper will be largely focused on the effects of technology on the younger generation because your childhood is when these effects have the largest impact. I am very aware of the subject because I am the younger generation. Aside from major effects on study and communication skills, there also exist the media’s effects on teen’s self-esteem and mental health. Maybe more importantly, there is our world’s growing problem of over priced and unnecessary consumerism. Over time, our society has created a very unhealthy form of reliance and dependency on technology as a whole. People essentially live through their devices. Cell phones are always with people making it nearly impossible to not be able to reach someone at anytime, day or night. In 2011, there were 2.4 trillion text messages sent, and 28,641 cell phone towers were added across the US. 1 We use our phones and Internet for directions, communication, information, self-diagnosis, games, movies, music, schoolwork, work, photos, shoppi...
The coming of the 21st century brought many new advances in technology. Emails began replacing written letters, technology began replacing direct social conversations and computers brought more people indoors. Many viewed this as a good thing, and thought that we should not resist technology’s advancement. However, many others believed that humanity was deteriorating and all good values would come to an end. While both groups of people had great arguments for their side, new technology is without a doubt bringing many negative effects. This even continues today, and those who thought the new technology was only a good thing are turning out to be incorrect. Problems are appearing involving social media, video games, the Internet and hacking. The world remains unsure about whether or not technology is good, one thing is clear: the effects of technology are not all positive. As technology increases, the world becomes a seemingly better place; however, it may not be as great as we think.
Technology has a great impact on the academic performance of a child. As much it’s an advantage for some, it’s also a curse for the other’s. There are many technological gadgets to which a child gets addicted to, using it more than they study and not caring about their studies, which can cause wastage of a great deal of valuable time. This results in
It can be argued the use of technology affects our mind and makes people lazy. In society today many people do not endeavor to educate themselves and use their own knowledge as they resort to technology. We are therefore using technology more than our brain to learn new things, decreasing our understanding of learning new information. For example, today people at work are using technology to hold meetings online with other companies, resulting in a decrease of face-to-face interaction with people that can help individuals gain a greater understanding. People who used to live before us did not have the technology that we have, but they lived and discovered new things. They used their mind to comprehend things

Albert Einstein was concerned about the advancement of technology. "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction."1 Undoubtedly, what has changed the most are communication, the spread of information, and how business is practiced. Consequently, practically everyone knows how to use a computer, connect to the Internet, or use a smartphone. This is demonstrated by the way the Internet is used daily by millions of people to communicate, to sell, advertise, retrieve, and share information. Thanks to the Internet, information from anywhere in the world is at our fingertips. As a result, the advancement of technology has changed our life in many ways including; sharing of information, communication, business, education, social interaction, simplifying everyday tasks, replacing basic skills and jobs.
