Total Drama Island is a spoof off of CBSs hit show survior. It has a more dramatic aspect of everything in the show such as the host, competions, contestenants and elminaation night. The cartoon uses stereotypical teenagers to make fun of all of the typical drama that happens on the show. Tom McGills and Jennifer Pertsch created a show called Total Drama Island, a parody of the hit series Survivor, in order to add more humor and make fun of their clichés. Total Dama Island is based at a place called Camp Wawanakwa which is a disgusing deserted Island just off of Ontario, Cananda. Survior’s location is different every season but it’s always an isolated area and the surrounding area’s are commonly a tropical island one would vaction too. Total drama imitated the idea of an isolated island in a more populated place. The camp itself in Total drama is already set up for them how ever it is exctremely run down and basically unlivable, especially when there is tough weather. This …show more content…
Total Drama has a competetion where they have to jump off a thousand foot cliff into a tank of sharks. Survivor is still very intense where they have to be behind bars underwater with little breathing room to get the feeling of drowning. Survivor’s challenge makes you feel like you are going to die where as if real people were to do the challenge in Total Drama they really would be dead. Even with in the challenges Total Drama will excagerate the injuries with people such as Beth where she has gotten electrecuted by an eel, knocked off the bridge, and mauled by wild animals. While there are quite a few injuries that take place it is ussually something more a long the lines of stung by a jelly fish, dehydration or they ate something they weren’t supposed to. Even when these injuries do occur if they are deadly then they will immediately be taken out of the game and won’t magically get better ten minutes
The film Jindabyne, is a story about death, marriage, and race in an Australian town in New South Wales called Jindabyne. In the film, four men go fishing, and one of them discovers the dead body of a young indigenous girl. Instead of reporting what they found to the police immediately, they decide to stay and continue fishing. They decide that there is nothing they could do for her, so they tie her legs to a tree and continue with their fishing, reporting the death only when they return home. After they are done with their weekend of fishing and report the incident, conflict starts, as the men are criticized for not respecting the dead. Through the story of the town’s reaction to the four fishermen’s response to the dead girl, the movie shows Australia to be fragmented and divided over white-indigenous relations.
At first the island seems like it is just a nice fishing spot. Later in the story you figure out that it symbolizes the baby because of the hints the young man and women give you. They leave the trailer park in the beginning to find an answer regarding the baby. When the couple gets to the island, Banks describes, “Large, rounded rocks lay around the island, half-submerged in the shallow water, like back of huge, coal-colored hippos”(69). This symbolizes that they are at a rough part of their

...onclusion, injuries can change the way a game is played. The team's efforts can be stopped or jumpstarted based on the situation in which the injury occurred. The morale of a team is marginally affected by injuries in garbage time, which is the last 4 minutes of a game, where the team is just trying to prevent the opponent from doing anything. Most injuries cause issues later on in life. Concussion victims often have permanent brain damage, which affects their life after retirement. Injuries not only devastate a player, it devastates everything around them.
The movie, “The Perfect Dictatorship” (“La Dictadura Perfecta”), directed and produced by Luis Estrada and released in 2014, is a political, satirical comedy story of two reporters attempting to repair the image of a corrupt governor after he signs a deal with the boss of their television company, Television Mexicana. That’s one way we could describe the plot of the movie. Another would be that the movie depicts the inherent corruption of the Mexican government and the lengths to which they will go to retain (or regain) their reputation. Equally, we could see the movie as a demonstration of the corruption of the Mexican media and the ways in which the media influences and effects politics. In fact, the

What is danger? The term/word danger is relative and has a different meaning to each person who uses it. Danger is found in all walks of life, from the tall buildings of Wall Street, to the slums of the ghetto. It is found in the confines behind prison bars and even in the most prestigious country club. One place where danger is thought to be exempt is on the playing field of a great American past time, society knows as football. Football is a dangerous sport, as it is a contact sport with some of the most athletically gifted human beings playing it. With modern science and the development of health care, doctors are discovering the effects of concussions both long term and short term. As culture evolves it is becoming more evident the
The Truth Behind: Atlantis Documentary focuses on both supporting and debunking the existence of Atlantis at either the Bahamas, Crete, Knossos, or Thera/Santorini. Throughout this paper I will be deliberating how archeology works at these stated sites, how archeology impacts society as a whole in the context of Atlantis in regards to the modern day fascination and obsession with this seeming mystery, and how archaeological knowledge is acquired and conveyed at the site in order to substantiate certain theories about the past location or Atlantis. Analyzing all of these facets will allow me to think critically about archeology and evidently the archaeological concepts we’ve discussed throughout the course. Atlantis, within this movie, demonstrates

Drama is defined as “any situation or series of events having vivid, emotional, conflicting, or striking interest or results.” Gossiping, procrastinating, arguing, fighting, cheating, stealing, and lying are all causes of drama.
