Design by Toko is a small-scale graphic design studio which is located in Sydney established in 2001. They are a quiet new studio comparing with other big advertising agencies. Eva Dijkstra (1974) and Michael Lugmayr (1970) are founders and creative directors of Design by Toko. Before they relocated to Sydney in 2007, they lived and worked in other cities in The Netherlands and United States. Currently they are working for both local and international, corporate and cultural clients.

It is a good marketing strategy for now since their small-scale. Moreover, working for city council like City of Sydney brings them a lot of new business as well. People in the city can see their design everywhere on the street, which can increase their popularity and recognition.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is the other approach of their marketing. For example, they designed a poster recently about the Centennial Park trees cutting to make way for Sydney's tram project. It has some advantages. Firstly, it gave a opportunity in which recognition would be improved in the people who pay attention to the incident. Moreover, for now, they just a small studio, CSR will not influence them a lot. But if they want to enlarge the studio scale, CSR can build a good image to the public and increase popularity.

The official website do not show the information about the other contributors in the studio, but they probably share the task equally.
Dijkstra was a project manager before she realised that she wanted to be a graphic designer. She said that her inspiration mainly came from art and she would like to blend art into her design, that is the reason why her design are minimalist, contemporary and distinctive. Otto Piene, Ludwig Mies van de Rohe, Elon Musk inspired Lugmayr a lot. He has his own philosophy and notional process following a considered manners in which ‘critical thought, experimentation, and potential collaborations are key’.
They recruit full-time designer semi-annually on Facebook and twitter. A lack of designers and excessive works probably have became big problems, so they are planning to enlarge the scale of studio. They require a strong skilled ability and interviewee cannot attempt their requirements, which could be the other reason why they recruit frequently. Muriel Cooper was a famous twentieth century graphic designer. Besides being a book designer, she was a researcher and educator as well. MIT Press wanted her assistance for a very longtime as an art director. Furthermore, she founded MIT’s Visible Language Workshop and co-founded the MIT Media Lab. Also Cooper was one of the first graphic designers to apply her skills to the computer screen.

Massimo Vignelli was an Italian designer who worked in a varying range of areas such as package design, advertising, industrial, interior, architectural design and the list goes on. Vignelli was also the co-founder of Vignelli Associates, which he started with his wife Lella some years after coming to America. Vignelli’s wide area of work and expertise has all helped contribute to make him a designer of interest. He has had works that have been published all around the world and throughout many museums as well.
Graphic designer and typographer Stefan Sagmeister has always had a unique way of viewing the world, therefore has created designs that are both inventive and controversial. He is an Austrian designer, who works in New York but draws his design inspiration while traveling all over the world. While a sense of humor consistently appears in his designs as a frequent motif, Sagmeister is nonetheless very serious about his work. He has created projects in the most diverse and extreme of ways as a form of expression. This report will analyse three of Stefan’s most influential designs, including the motives and messages behind each piece.
Shiro Kuramata (1934-91) was a Japanese designer best known for his furniture and interior design, which gave the modern culture a creative voice. Many will identify with the chair he designed for the Vitra Design Museum in 1987 titled, How High the Moon (fig 1). The piece was inspired by an old jazz song and is part of the permanent collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art. It is designed as a spacious armchair with woven threads of expanded metal; the piece weighs little more than a leaf, and can withstand robust use . His other works include entire storefronts designed for his friend Issey Miyake, for whom Kuramata created over 100 retail interiors . One of these works is Bergdorf Goodman in New York (fig 2.) designed in 1984 , which today sells products for Gucci, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, and others .
They did not create a proper advertising campaign prior to the launch of the product, and are trying to form it now to increase customer awareness of the product.

During my whole life and experience I have been interested in the Art, Creativity, and I have been traveling around Graphics Designing. When I go out to centres, supermarkets, the high streets around Kingston anywhere in London, Germany and other parts of Europe which I have seen. I have seen lots of Graphics designs in advertising, Billboards companies for example in electronical products or any type of product the graphics advertising companies running around the world, just because of that I was inspired in the graphics designing and I was influence by the subject.
