Fear is the biggest enemy of human being. The biggest fear people have is fear itself. It’s not like one people have fear. Everyone have fear. It could be anything. Fear of losing someone special, Fear of speech. But fear is also a great motivator who motivates us to overcome the bad situation and forget the past.
After the unexpected death of someone we loved creates a fear in our mind which is sometimes hard to overcome it. This idea is clearly exhibited through the work of Judy Blume’s “The Tiger eyes” book. The author shows the fear that Davey and her family had after the unexpected death of her beloved father. “Davey lie in her bed, frightened. I hear noises I’ve never heard before… the worst time are when I start to think about the brown bag on closet shelf…I’ve hidden the knife under my pillow” (Blume 3-6). Furthermore the article “The Darling” continue the evident of loss “Olga’s sense of loss after each death is, on the one hand, represented as extreme and sincere. Yet, on the other hand, the reader is invited to question the sincerity of her mourning because she attaches herself to a new man within three to six months after the death of each preceding man…loss of the previous man”(Chekhov 4).
