Rules are everywhere: in the house, on the road, and in school. However, not all rules are actually enforced. Hence, when going on vacation, there are certain unwritten rules that should be followed. Although these guidelines aren’t embedded in the rulebook, the fate of the vacation rests upon them.
Rule #1: Extra doesn’t always mean unnecessary. New clothes, new shoes, and new accessories: the universal uniform which is mandatory for any vacation. Packing everything causes overfilled and oversized bags. Pack what is necessary, not everything that’s desired. Handling a boatload of baggage becomes an unnecessary burden, which ultimately affects the validity of the vacation.
Rule #3: Last-minute packing is the gateway to a catastrophe The worst feeling in the world is leaving for the water park and forgetting the essential item needed: the swimsuit. At this moment, driving back isn’t an option, so the only choice is to buy a swimsuit in one of those extremely overpriced shops. Nevertheless, there’s always a high chance of forgetting something when packing at the last minute. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Rule #4: Checking the weather is more important than deciding what to wear. The universal belief--prior to leaving for vacation-- is that the weather is going to be ideal. Thus, carelessly assuming the weather will lead to nothing but disappointment. For instance, just because May is “technically” considered to be summer, it doesn’t guarantee warm weather throughout the trip. A vacation spoiled due to dreadful weather is truly agonizing. But even though you packed and then overpacked for a destination, something unexpected can always happen. In the story, The Voyage of the James Caird, Ernest Shackleton and his men could not have prepared more than they did for their ship to sink in the Arctic Circle. They piled aboard a lifeboat where they sailed to reach a whaling station but the journey was very hard on them. Their equipment just wasn’t enough to keep up with what the ocean was throwing at them. Worsley, one of the members on the boat with them wrote that their while their coats kept them warm against the wind, they did nothing against the freezing temperature of the water splashing on their backs every five seconds.
Photography helps people in different ways. Some gain pleasure in finding the right filter and others utilize it as a mechanism to feel productive. A vacation is supposed to help one relax and distress from their surroundings. Yet some need to be doing something in order for them not feel like they’re not being useful. Not only that it helps them feel better about themselves as stated in paragraph 5.
Vacation is the one thing that people look forward to throughout the year. People usually think of it as a time to relax, unwind, and enjoy an amazing tropical getaway. Maybe it’s chilling at the beach or taking the night out, vacation is always something fun for anyone. Imagine yourself soaking in the sun, laying by the shore, breathing in the salty air, and laying under a palm tree. People can experience this all right along the island of Key West. A trick that I use is to lay out all of my outfits together according to when I plan to wear them, putting the first outfit on top and the last outfit on the bottom. You will want to make sure that you’re packing comfortable clothing such as shorts and loose cotton t-shirts. You are in Orlando, Florida after all. It’s going to be hot. Still, be sure to pack a jacket or sweater to keep you warm when the nights cool down.

Therefore, the majority of my preparation came in the form of packing the best suitcase possible. I wanted to have quick and easy access to my readings on the plane, and I was always worried that I would lose my passport. This trip made me learn how to be organized and concise in just about every physical way possible. Funny enough, getting through customs was the hardest part of the trip.
If I had no limits as to how much I could spend on a vacation, I would take a trip to different cities in Mexico. My dads side of the family is Latino and many of my relatives live in Mexico. My month long trip would consist of a variety of cities I have visited before and others that I would be visiting for the first time. I would take advantage of Mexicos rich culture by participating in the peoples customs and getting as much experience as possible. The trip would be very meaningful because my heritage is something that I am very proud of and passionate about.
