Thomas Edison was born in Ohio and he came from a humble upbringing. Being self educated He opened his own lab in Menlo Park in New Jersey. Some of his over 1,000 patents, included the telegraph, phonograph, electric light bulb, alkaline storage batteries and Kinetograph (a camera for motion pictures). He was a major contributor to technology in his time. Edison was dubbed “The Wizard of Menlo Park.” He was the first to apply mass production and large-scale teamwork to the process of invention. Edison was a man of great success, wealth and superior intelligence. Although he had great qualities, such as his knack for problem solving, he must have ran into a bump in the road or even a complete stop. Edison could have failed on every project
