I planned my workout every week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings. At first, when I started working out I ran on treadmill as my warm up. My first week goal was to run 5 minutes in treadmill and I achieved my goal. I feel like it was easy. The second week goal was to run 7 minutes. When I started my second week, I wasn’t comfortable running 7 minutes, and end of the week I have no problem running 7minutes. Third week goal was to run 10 minutes in treadmill it was really hard to keep up for 10 minutes run, but eventually I achieved my goal. Forth week-goal was 15 minutes I couldn’t do it. I tried my best to achieve my goal. I realize that I have to keep my goal little bit low like 11 minutes run and add one minute for each week, then

I sat in my child development class in a “brick and mortar” classroom setting. What was I doing there? I was extremely interested in what the professor was speaking on and what was being discussed. Gay marriage is a huge issue in the United States, some states have allowed it after taking to time to really see that all people deserve to have their own rights, but my state, Indiana, still will not allow gays to marry. They say that it is not the right way to live your life. The real question is what is the “right” way to live life? We all are different in our own ways, whether it may be color, religion, or simple things like our hobbies. That is what makes us such great country. We have our freedom to express who we are, but the gays do not because the older generations do not approve?
Treadmill exercise at a consistent pace can sometimes be boring, not to mention less challenging. According to Tom Holland, a triathlete and physiologist, for a workout to be motivating, you do not have to force yourself to do the hard stuff right away. For a 30-minute treadmill workout, try breaking the time into three increments. Dedicated the first ten minutes for warm-up exercises, the next ten minutes to a more challenging exercises and the last ten minutes to gradually slower pace of exercise. You will not feel exhausted easily with this kind of routine yet you burn more calories. Doing interval workout is proven to be effective in losing weight as well as in toning the body.
As the most of my peers, I have been asking myself a question, what is it really I want out of my life? This question has been bothering many people, and not only the college students who are trying to figure out the path which will lead them to the comfortable life. One might ask, what is that comfort that we all are striving for? Is it a state of mind or is it some unknown world that we are so eager to enter? Well, it varies from person to person, it depends on the life that the person has left behind when the decision to go to college was made. There are several aspects of our lives that could influence us and the future decisions that we'll make. The biggest part of our decision making is the way we were raised and the culture we have got used to. Many Americans believe that the success depends on the family background that you have. There are those who say that if the person was raised in a rich family, all opportunities are available to them and there is a high! chance that the person will live a comfortable life. The same people are saying that if the person was raised in a poor family there are too many obstacles to overcome and most of the time these barriers on the way are too hard to cross. On the other hand, there are those people who say that the America is the land of opportunities and any person could achieve his/her goals if they set their mind to it.
When you 're designing your personal fitness program, consider your fitness goals. Think about your fitness likes and dislikes, and note your personal barriers to fitness. Then consider practical strategies for keeping your fitness program on track. Regular exercise can help you control your weight, reduce your risk of heart disease, and strengthen your bones and muscles. But if you haven 't exercised for some time and you have health concerns, you may want to talk to your doctor before starting a new fitness routine.
For example, at the beginning of the year I benched two sets of seven with 20 lbs weights. I then repeated this amount for a few classes and changed the amount of weight only after I could easily lift the previous one. Although I accomplished two of my goals, I wasn’t able to accomplish the last one; running a mile in under 8 minutes. My first mile was around 9 minutes but everything after that was straight downhill.
After telling people I am from Alaska, often times they are slightly surprised to see me freezing indoors. Well, this may come as a shock for those of you who do not know, but in Alaska we do not have air conditioning. That being said, my first and foremost goal of the year is: to get accustomed to constantly having environmentally hazardous refrigerant blown around in every room I go into. This year we all have goals but I want to accomplish many things in six months. My major goals for the following months are the following things: learn ASL, get my driving permit, start studying for test and quizzes, figure out my major, study for math class, and get a job. These six things I can accomplish by trying hard as well as start as soon as possible. I don't know what is going to happen in my life or where i'll be in six months, but I know I can control some things of what I will have accomplished by june.
With the beginning of a new quarter, and the close of the previous one, I’ve come to notice specific details that describe the past quarter. With these realizations of my work ethic and patterns in the past, I found it important to use this valuable information wisely, encouraging me to set specific goals that span a variety of my academic classes. In social studies, specifically, patterns have emerged in my work, which have again compelled me to make changes the ways I participate in school, as well as traits that I hope to maintain for the duration of my career as a student. In terms of work ethics, I’ve reflected mostly on my test and quiz grades, in addition to my project and homework grades, all of which had led to the formation of my goals for my 3rd Quarter as an eighth grader.
