Abortion
A global ethical framework is a set of codes that are right from wrong throughout the world. A great deal of possible choices one can make can be viewed as right or wrong in the world depending on one’s society. An example of this ethical controversy is killing, because killing someone can have many different views all over the world. In some societies throughout multiple countries in the world, killing someone can be a good thing if there is a pure reason justifying the action of ending someone else’s life. Abortion can affect the societies around the world because it can affect the population count. The birth rates around the world are falling. Abortion devalues children and increases guilt and self-hatred. Catholics believe that all life is sacred from conception until natural death, and the taking of innocent human life, whether born or unborn, is morally wrong. God alone is the Lord of life from its beginning until its end; no one can under any circumstance claim for himself the right directly to destroy an innocent human being. In a global ethics viewpoint, Kant’s theory states that Kant would say to the women who want to have an abortion: “Can you will that every other woman would have an abortion when
she is pregnant?” If the woman says “yes,” then abortion is moral. If she says “no,” then abortion cannot be moral.” Per Kant, abortion would be immoral because it would be irrational to will that every pregnant woman has an abortion. I agree with Kant’s theory because I am pro life and am totally against abortion unless there is a definite reason that it needs to happen. One of these circumstances could be as if a woman were to be raped and ended up pregnant, that woman should have the choice of abortion.
