Both careers have many similarities, but they have plenty of differences as well. A licensed psychologist work with people who have mental health disorders like anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, and even disorders like paranoid schizophrenia. Licensed psychologist also helps people overcome social problems like social anxiety, eating disorders, or manages the effects of a traumatic event. Most phycologist believe that there is a higher chance of improvement by treating the patient when the patient takes part in a combination of therapy and medication. A licensed phycologist prescribe medication such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor to help treat and prevent negative effects of mental problems in general.
