Humankind considers religious studies to be the most disputable field of science and / or view of life. Such approach based on division of people into those who perceive religious corns of world construction, and those who do not believe in God, known also as “atheists”. An issue under discussion is the problem of evil or so-called theodicy problem in the world. The main idea of above-mentioned problem is that if God is perfectly good and all-knowing Creator then why there are so many troubles all over the world. In this paper, the term of “evil” is used as events that negatively affect peoples’ life. Generally, evil can be divided into two types. First type is moral evil that appears in human actions, for example murders, abuse, corruption and others. In different words, moral evil caused by human acts and depends mostly on individual’s willing. Second type of evil called natural evils. Natural evils do not depend on humanity; such evils cannot be controlled or prevented by peoples’ willing. (The problem of evil, n. d.) Last years an idea that human’s thoughts materialize is becoming popular. Why do we connect way of thinking with theodicy problem? The answer is simple. Thinking negatively individual attracts unfavorable events into his life. Actually, world religions confirms that God accepts all prayer’s requests. Individual whose thoughts are dark receives adventures as an answer to his negative ideas. On this ground, many religious and psychological books convince us to reflect on words we are pronouncing and thoughts. Such approach discloses theodicy problem from another side. Upon reading Claudia Card’s “Evils” she deepens her understanding of evil post 9/11. Card goes on to write that her adjustments to the accounts of evil include first that evils are inexcusable and not just culpable, she also states that evils need not be extraordinary and that all institutional evil implies individual reason to blame. Claudia Card continues to define evil as reasonably foreseeable intolerable harms produced, maintained, supported and tolerated by culpable wrongdoings. Evils have two parts, harm and agency. How Card identifies the difference between evil and lesser wrongs is the harm component. Also she has named her theory the atrocity theory because atrocities are her paradigms of evil. But natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods and earthquakes can be disastrous they are not considered atrocities because they are not produced, aggravated by culpable wrongs. Throughout the world, most people believe in some type of god or gods, and the majority of them understand God as all-good, all-knowing (omniscient), and all-powerful (omnipotent). However, there is a major objection to the latter belief: the “problem of evil” (P.O.E.) argument. According to this theory, God’s existence is unlikely, if not illogical, because a good, omniscient, and omnipotent being would not allow unnecessary suffering, of which there are enormous amounts.

In fact, the word “theodicy” consists of the Greek words “theos,” or God, and “dike,” or justice (Knox 1981, 1). Thus, theodicy seeks to find a sense of divine justice in a world filled with suffering.

We as humans tend to be social beings, and being so we communicate our beliefs with one another in order to validate ourselves. Furthermore atheism has many forms, three of the most popular atheistic beliefs include: scientific atheism, humanistic atheism and the most popular one being protest atheism. Scientific atheism is the idea that science is the answer for everything and god is not existent. The humanistic approach states that society is self-sufficient; therefore God is not needed for survival. Therefore how could he exist? The position that I will argue in this paper is the pessimistic idea of protest atheism.
