The water is essential factor available on planet earth to make the life possible. The water cycle contains the largest chemical flux on earth (Robarts & Wetzel, 2000). The water is the eminent factor which dispenses heat around the globe by the process of the water cycle. The process of evaporation from the surface of the earth to the atmosphere condenses and falls as precipitation back on the earth surface is the simple process of the water cycle.
There are multiple instances of my lifestyle that impact the water cycle. I need water to drink, shower, cook, laundry, clean car and home, water the plants in the backyard, and for entertainment purposes like swimming. The list of things related to water is unlimited and I can feel a big impact

I will need to water the plants less often, change the watering time during night so as to avoid evaporation on the daytime, invest on plants which need less water and be alert not to forget to turn off the sprinkler on time. I used to convince myself thinking that I save water on dishwashing as I used to accumulate the dishes for a day and run it only at night. After reading this week reading assignment I realize that I can bring my water usage down for this purpose too. I tend to use lot of utensils due to kids, I feel that I can really reduce my utensils use to half because I have a habit of using a fresh plate for everything I serve. The minor change in lifestyles such as the habit of not running the tap continuously while brushing unless it is needed for rinsing can lower the wastage of water resource. I see my neighbors wash their cars or have their sprinkle overflow many of the times and I hesitate to speak up. Probably, I should bring these things up in next neighborhood meeting or print and distribute the article that I read about the importance of water and things we can do in our neighborhood to bring a better change in environment for our kids in
Drip irrigation, xeriscape, desalination, water recycling, personal water conservation, and the change of household appliances are all techniques that would have a positive effect on California’s drought. Because of the constantly growing population, the demand for water is constantly growing. To make sure that this water crisis doesn’t become vital, Californian’s should think it is their duty to help improve the situation. These improvements can be made in farmers, landscapers, and the everyday citizen. Everyone should do their part in employing these techniques, whether they take the simple approach of shortened shower times or a costly approach, and re-design their outdoor spaces to be xeriscaped and use drip systems. California’s water is precious, and it is the duty of California Citizens implement solutions to bust the water drought.
Water has three stages—liquid, gas and solid. Water on Earth can be liquid as rain, streams, or oceans. It can be a solid like hail, ice or snow. It can be a gas like vapor, steam or clouds. As described by the Department of Atmospheric Sciences (2010), the hydrologic cycle is the process of water changing from liquid to gas to solid. The energy of the sun drives the changes to water. When water is heated up, it evaporates, turning into a gas to form steam or vapor. The water vapor rises with warm air that when meets cooler air, condenses to form clouds. These clouds and water vapor can be transported around the world. Precipitation is when water falls to Earth, in warmer temperatures as liquid and in temperatures, as a solid. On Earth, precipitation can evaporate again or infiltrate the Earth to become groundwater. As ground water it can collect in oceans, rivers or on snowy mountaintops and glaciers. It can also be released back into the atmosphere via transpiration, when water evaporates off soil, trees. When water evaporates, the cycle starts again.
Throughout world civilization, numerous empires have dominated geographical areas with powerful military forces, effective rulers and strong economy’s. However, majority of the worlds empires have declined after centuries of dominance. The most significant similarity in all of the worlds empires is the greed of expansion. History has proven this significance to result in the falling of great empires. When empires fall, new ones are established and this is the process known as the dynastic cycle. The dynastic cycle is based off the different dynasties that once ruled China, however, the process can be used with the rise, fall and replacement of other empires. The dynastic cycle has occurred in the once dominant Ottoman empire, that dominated in Europe and the Middle East for nearly 500 years and also the Russian empire (1721-1917).
Introduction on Water It covers 70% of our planet, makes up 75% of our body, it is necessary for survival and it is declining at a rapid rate (http://www.sscwd.org). It is water. Unfortunately, clean water is rare, almost 1 billion people in developing countries do not have access to water everyday. “Yet, we take it for granted, we waste it, and we even pay too much to drink it from little plastic bottles” (The Water Project). Use of earth’s natural resources should be seen as prosperity, although it is taken for granted, every aspect of daily life revolves around the environment, forcing water conservation to be necessary for future on this planet.

Water shortage in United States is a potential problem. Today almost no one consider how serious the issue is. Water is the main resource of our living; we have it and do not realize how much water we waste. In U.S.A. there are over usage of water in irrigation, agriculture, industry and over usage in residential purposes. According to CBS News report (Strassmann, 2010), average American uses about 150 gallons every day, while Englishmen use 40 gallons, Chinese – 22 and Kenyan - 13 gallons. Strassmann also points out that scientists count, that consumption of water is much more than supply, so that in next three years 36 states will faced the problem of water shortage. Nowadays, Las Vegas, Texas, California, Colorado, Nevada have already run into troubles.
When we fail to value and appreciate our water sources and systems we put our future generations and ourselves at great risk. When water is viewed as the most important resource available to humans and is taken seriously with a focus on its future health and longevity we can avoid catastrophes in hydration, irrigation, agriculture, and energy needs. When we mismanage or misuse water due to its previous or current conveniences the general population suffers and the quick fixes are often times temporary and extremely expensive. We should start educating more children and adults on ways to better use, conserve, and waste less water, while working to change the public’s view of recycled wastewater. We can learn from the mistakes made by local, state and national municipalities by making the security and sustainability of fresh water more of a top priority. Freshwater in the world makes up only a small portion of the water on the planet. While the percentage of water in the world is nearly 70%, only 2.5% is consumable. Even further, only 1% is easily accessible to basic human needs. According to National Geographic, “by 2025, an estimated 1.8 billion people will live in areas plagued by water scarcity, with two-thirds of the world's population living in water-stressed regions as a result of use, growth, and climate change.” With this current trend, water will become more immersed in environmental, economic, political, and social changes.
Water Scarcity is harmful to human life because when water is poorly managed throughout the world, those who need water are deprived of nutrients they truly need causing them to die.
