The Taste of Fun
Most people know that the main ingredients in pasta: noodles, sauce, and sometimes meat combined makes a good meal for lunch and dinner. However, to have a great fun pasta meal that is simple and full of flavor, better than just good, people would have to eat at a restaurant/bar called Bobby Hebert’s Cajon Cannon, located in Metairie, LA. Created by the owner and his friend, Bobby and Deke’s Mardi Gras Pasta is the best cajon pasta in the Jefferson Parish area of Louisiana because of three important combinations: its creamy alfredo sauce, fettucce noodles, and fresh seafood.
Unfortunately, the creamy alfredo sauce is not found in stores like some alfredo sauces. This original sauce has a taste full of excitement. Chopped green bell peppers, garlic, onion, and other seasonings that can be distinguished in each bite give this sauce a unique taste. However, there are people who do not like certain

The orange from the alfredo sauce, the green from the bell peppers, the pink and white from the shrimp, and the red and white from the crawfish tails, mixed in on a deep plate, screams fun. In addition, adding the challenge of picking up the noodles, a piece of shrimp, and a crawfish tail, enjoyment covered in creamy alfredo sauce on one folk speaks nothing but countless fun until the pasta is gone. This party pasta knows how to speak for its self in more than one way. I have walked into Bobby Hebert’s Cajon Cannon over fifteen times in the last year and have ordered this pasta over seven times and not once have I been disappointed. Consistency is something many people admire about this dish. In conclusion, creamy sauce with simple ingredients, fettucce noodles cooked correctly, and fresh simple to eat seafood combined makes the best pasta around. This pasta challenges many other pastas in Louisiana and still manage to win. If there is doubt, please go try it. I promise I won’t say, “I told you
True to the name, this lasagna contains eggplant, which is from southeastern Asia. This lasagna has ingredients which are all mainly from the “Old World”. Some of the them include oregano, thyme, and ricotta cheese, which are all from Italy. The only ingredient that is from the Americas is one that is in the marinara sauce, and that is tomatoes. Technically, this lasagna could be made with pesto sauce, with herbs already located in the “Old World”. However, the recipe calls for marinara sauce. This dish could have existed without the exchange, provided that a pesto sauce was substituted for the marinara sauce. Still, most would prefer the marinara sauce to the pesto sauce in a
How often does one actually consider where a product originates or under what conditions it was produced? While out shopping a consumers main focus is on obtaining the item needed or wanted not selecting merchandise based on the “made in” tag. It is common knowledge that many products are imported from other countries. However, little thought is given to the substandard conditions that workers endure to eke out a living to maintain a poverty stricken existence. In Mardi Gras: Made in China director David Redmon demonstrates the effect globalization and capitalism have on the lives of the owner and workers of a bead factory in China while contrasting the revelry of partygoers in New Orleans. Underpaid, overworked staff toil and live in an inhuman environment, exploited by a boss who demands much for little compensation while profiting greatly, to support themselves and their families.
One reason to visit Carrabba’s Italian Grill is because as soon as one walks in the main lobby they will find themselves savoring the delicious smells of the cuisine they are preparing. With a wide variety of food on their menu, one can certainly have the best five course meal of their life. Two of the best appetizers are their delicious bread and herb dip and savory calamari. For the second and third course, patrons can choose from a wide variety of salads and soups. The main course is where things get real exciting.
In his article "'Funeral Bak'd Meats:' Carnival and the Carnivalesque in Hamlet," Michael D. Bristol compares both Marxism and Bakhtin's notion of “double discoursed textuality” into an exclusive reading of Shakespeare's drama as a struggle between opposing economic classes. Bristol begins his argument immediately discussing Marxism. He begins by shining light on the fact that Marx “claims that he was not a Marxist, and in a sense that is a perfectly accurate description” (pg. 348. Bristol understood that Mar5x theories has several errors simple because he did not have the proper evidence during his time. While he acknowledges some of the flaws inherent in Marxist criticism, Bristol uses the introductory paragraphs to assert the "enormous importance" of "the theory of class consciousness and class struggle" which Marxist theory includes (349). Bristol recasts Hamlet as a class struggle.

The purpose of Thanksgiving in Canada is different from the Americans. But even though the reasons for giving thanks are different, many of the customs are the same. Canadian Thanksgiving was originally started to give thanks to God for a bountiful harvest. This was when there were lots of farmers that grew crops. Now we give thanks for everything we appreciate. Some farming families still give thanks for a good crop.
There’s a lot more to being Italian than the typical stereotypes that we have come to know from movies, television and books. From the Catholic mobsters who kill during the week but always make it to mass on Sunday, to the “how you doin” views of Joey from the television show “Friends”, people often forget the more important parts of being Italian. It is a culture like no other, full of history, art, and most importantly, their passion for food. Italian food, in my opinion, is the best in the world. Italians put so much into everything they make that the time and effort is tasted with every single bite. One of my favorite dishes would have to be fettuccini alfredo and it just happens to be a fairly easy, but extremely delicious, dish to make. Trust me, if I can make it, you can make it.
Linguine with clams, or linguine alle vongole, is a dish that can be enjoyed on any day throughout the year. However, the linguine with clams that is had on Christmas Eve is much more special. When my mother makes this dish for dinner, she uses clam sauce with small pieces of clams from a can. Although it is delicious, there is nothing like the fresh white sauce my grandfather makes and the whole clams you eat right out of the shells. The linguine with clams we have on Christmas Eve is also more special because of the occasion. For some people, Christmas Eve is just a day to prepare for Christmas Day. However, for Italians Christmas Eve is a holiday in itself and is just as special as Christmas Day. What makes Christmas Eve special for Italians is the meal that is enjoyed on this day. The meal that is made on Christmas Eve is called either The Feast of the Seven Fishes, La Festa dei Sette Pesci in Italian, or the Vigil, La Vigilia. It is traditi...
When something sticks to your bones, your full and satisfied after eating it. Not all spaghetti dishes give you this fulfilling feeling. To achieve this feeling, it begins with the meatballs because it's the heaviest component in the dish. she uses fresh thinly sliced onions, bell pepper, and a couple pinches of cayenne pepper. The meatballs marinate overnight and the solid circles go into the breadcrumb. My family likes spicy food a lot, so I have to drink about a river of water during this meal to calm my stomach.
First of all, Italian food is absolutely amazing. Food is a large part of the Italian culture, and something that everyone recognizes the Italians for. Despite the long standing tradition of consuming dog meat to deflect the heat of the summer in Southern China, the Yulin Dog Meat festival only began in 2009 where 10000 dogs are slaughtered for this barbarous festival. This brutal event has been condemned by people across the globe. This essay will discuss this issue through the various theoretical perspectives and explain how Ethnocentrism is demonstrated.
