Twenty-six years ago, the Delphinidae invaded planet Alvortia. The arrival of the unannounced visitors was met with a reception more deplorable than that of the death that lingered in the poignant future.
The Alvorians, the dominant race of the planet, seemed to be human, aside from their cosmic strength and intelligence. Alvortia was known throughout the universe as a "Super Planet," due to its immense size and atmospheric ability to keep any species not only alive, but more than well. The Alvorians were a near perfect race, which no one dared to inconvenience, for their defenses were of the best. That is, until the Delphinidae arrived.
The Delphinidae were a compelling race originating from planet Kaiden. They did not reflect the common portrayal of aliens as well as one may have expected, but instead, they looked strikingly similar to dolphins. Their dominant stature, roughly six feet tall, not only drew attention, but caused a terrifying onslaught of trepidation, rivaled only by Satan himself.
These beings had no tails or fins protruding from their humanoid anatomy, save for the one large dorsal fin emerging from their lower back. Their gray flesh glistened from the moistures that secreted from their pores. Each had two legs that throbbed with masculinity, as well as two arms. Their necks housed veins thicker than a hose, and cozily supported a "Delphin's" head. They sported heavy armors of soulless ebony.
The blue sky began to grow with darkness as the Delphinidae appeared. They landed fiercely in spherical ships that held no more than one Delphin, the vernacular term for Delphinidae. The first Delphin that emerged from the chilling fog of the opening doors immediately charged a young Alvorian man who...

...towards the fallen general. The Delphin's boots barely made sound as he stepped closer, and closer, towards the man.
The figure then took of his hood, revealing a Delphin head, better looking than the rest, and housed two, beautiful, fuchsia colored eyes. They stared intently at Deimos, who began to cry quietly.
The Delphin tapped the general's forehead with the tip of his boot. With that the strongest man on Alvortia died. Fuchsia glanced at the two dead Delphin who had previously brought Deimos to him. They had also died, the power that Fuchsia used to kill the general, killing them as well. Fuchsia put his hood back on, sat in his throne, and used a small communicator on the arm of his seat to speak with one of his subjects. Fuchsia held down a button, closed his eyes, and spoke, "send the rest," and with that, the extermination of the Alvorts began.
"The monstropolous beast had left his bed. The two hundred miles an hour wind had loosed his chains. He seized hold of his dikes and ran forward until he met the quarters; uprooted them like grass and rushed on after his supposed-to-be conquerors, rolling the dikes, rolling the houses, rolling the people in the houses along with other timbers. The sea was walking the earth with a heavy heel.
When the author was describing the petrifying appearance of the creature, she made sure to use words that would make us sick to our stomachs in order to get a really good idea across about how simply disgusting this now-animate creature was. She does this by explaining to us how the creature’s “yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath”. The thought of seeing something so sickening even makes us make a wry face and try to get the image out of our heads – and that’s exactly the reaction the author is hoping to see from us. This also helps us know how Mr.
I stared into his face, feeling a sense of outrage. His left eye had collapsed, a line of raw redness showing where the lid refused to close, and his gaze had lost its command. I looked from his face to the glass, thinking he's disem...
Rapidly evolving throughout the late Pleistocene to the early to mid Holocene, hunter-gatherer-fisher societies hunted megafauna creatures in a systematic and ethical way. When one species migrates to a different ecosystem, that species is not usually recognized as a threat to other species. Survival, during the late Pleistocene and Holocene era, was one of the most important aspects to life. Any organism, regardless of size, living within their environment had to stay alive and reproduce. During these two eras, it seems...
The creature’s reflections over his own existence are penetrating and reach to the heart of the matter:”My person was hideous and my stature gigantic. What did this mean? Who was I? What was I? Whence did I come?
He begins, "We spread round. I crept, on hands and knees. The spears fell out
“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”
A father’s love for his sons is often unspoken. Fathers will rarely say to their sons that they love them, but the sons know they really do. This love is strong, but held in reserve. Is it a sign of weakness if a father tells his son he loves him? This idea can be debated on both sides. In the Parable of the Prodigal Son from the King James Bible, a father openly forgives a son who just blew all of his inheritance money, and has returned home. The father is filled with so much happiness that he throws a party for the son. An older son of the father thinks it is unjust that the younger son gets a party for messing up. From the Parable of the Prodigal Son, of the King James Bible, there are three main messages.
Throughout Earth’s history there have been many changes. These changes have consisted of temperature fluctuations, atmospheric differentiations, extinctions of various plant and animal life, etc. Over time everything seems to have evolved in some way form or fashion. However, the Permian Era extinction was different from all the rest. This extinction affected every form of life, but especially the marine life. Researchers have stated that 93-97% of all Earths species went extinct during this period of time. This essay will explain how a once blossoming progressive era turned into Earths most catastrophic event.
As he trudged his final steps on the dirt road, he reached the gates of the factory. They towered over Jackson, with sharp spikes that seemed to claw over him. To the
There were a lot of reasons Joseph Girzone titled his book "Joshua and the Children". I think the main reason for the title was because of Joshua’s purpose in the town. The author explains how Joshua is there to fulfill "his Father’s" promise. Joshua wants to teach all the children of the town to get along and be at peace with each other. Joshua says it is too late for the adults to learn the way, who have lived hateful lives. Joshua must turn to the children if he wishes to change the future. He believes that if he teaches the children to not hate, and to respect others, regardless of racial or ethnic differences, then the world will improve when they become adults. This new generation will then bring happiness to the world. Joshua knows that these children were victims of their parents’ wrongdoings. He knows that they were born into a society filled with hate. Hate for members of a different race. Hate without reasoning. He feels it is wrong what the adults are doing to the children. They are being brought up to believe that it is OK to mistreat somebody who is "different" from you. This is why Joshua felt he should teach the children, and not the adults.
The Permian Mass Extinction is hands down the most destructive mass extinctions of all time. However, with great destruction comes great results. Towards the end of the Permian was when the extinction hit the hardest. At this time nearly ninety percent of marine species and roughly seventy percent of terrestrial vertebrates became extinct. As a result, many organisms and creatures suffered. The first mass extinction involved the obliteration of the organic reef community. The second big extinction consisted the removal of about seventy-five percent of the fusulinid foraminifer’s genera. Of the fusulinid organisms, the only ones to be removed were species that had diverse wall features, and ones who were longer than a quarter of an inch. Within the foraminifera there was most likely symbiotic algae that lived...
The reproductive system was mainly located towards the anal area and inferior to the stomach. The penis was located in the middle. It was white in color and looked like a mealworm. The seminal vesicles were located on both sides of the penis. They were grayish pink in color and looked like walnuts.
You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery. (McCarthy)
