Danielle checked her watch 12:50, only ten more minutes. Picking up her M-110 rifle she flicked the safety off and popped open the scope covers; resting the barrel against the windows sill of her truck, she peered through the scope for one final check.
A handful of guards patrolled the grounds prepared for anything to break their well-manicured perimeter. The outside lights were extinguished and all the windows of the safe house were sealed shut leaving the exterior completely dark.
Danielle had rehearsed the shots a dozen times at the range, first she would take out the sniper and his spotter on the roof. Then eliminate her primary target and finally mop up any leftovers. Pivoting her rifle, she scanned the roof till she came across the

sniper. Suddenly, a voice chimed in over her headset "Red leader to all teams, status report over" Danielle listened intently miming each of the guard's "all clears". Finally, it came to her sniper and his spotter. "This is red twelve, status clean skies" Now was Danielle's chance.
Pointing the cross hairs just above the sniper's left shoulder, she squeezed the trigger. The bullet sailed out from the tree line and hit the sniper square in the temple. Barely able to recover from the recoil of the shot, Danielle moved her cross hairs over to the spotter still frozen with shock. With another squeeze of the trigger she made quick work of him as well.
Danielle scanned the area, checking to see if her shots alerted anyone. None of the guards even budgeted, she was in the clear.
"Red leader to all teams, HVT is on his way out over"
Smirking, Danielle pivoted her rifle towards the front door. Flexing her trigger finger, she spied on the guards as they slowly shifted into protection detail around the front. Light flooded from the door as red leader came out of the house, a few moments later Danielle's target emerged. Phone pressed to his ear, mindlessly chatting he took his time strolling over to the car. Meanwhile his overly-anxious security detail clung to him like parasites; Danielle's cross hairs followed the group, waiting for a shot. But each time before she could pull the trigger, her shot was blocked. As one guard moved directly in front of the HVT her finger pressed on the trigger debating going through him. Slowly lifting her index finger, she decided against the
shot. Biting her lip, she grew increasingly anxious as he inched toward the safety of his car. Red leader reached out and opened the car's rear door waiting for the HVT to get inside. Danielle's cross hairs danced while she tried to suss out an opening. Finding none, she stilled her breathe prepping to fire a frenzy of shots into the guards hoping to create enough chaos to take out the target. Just before she could pull the trigger, the HVT froze his body tensed as he spoke over the phone. Waving the guards away, he hastily left their protection and moved back towards the safe house. Danielle smirked again, before the security detail could even react she sent a round downrange. Hitting just below the target's heart, a large splatter of blood splashed the house and he collapsed instantly. The radio erupted as the security team tried to get an ID on the shooter. Their frantic calls to the sniper fell on dead ears. With the guards pinned down, Danielle went to work. Emptying the remainder of the magazine, into the car she neutralized three of the guards.
In “The Sniper” the conflict is man vs man, which means main character is tasked with killing his enemy, but it proves to be quite a challenge. Even though there were many challenges the sniper followed through with his job and persevered even after he was shot in the arm. Wanting to kill his enemy, stay alive, and be one step closer to ending the war was his main goals. Being brave, he took off his hat, placed it on his gun, and raised it above the edge of the roof. Instantly the enemy shot at it and the sniper, pretending to be dead, waited until the enemy got up for him to shoot him. He did some quick thinking and, with determination, handled the conflict quite well.
The Rangers captured the two targets, along with 22 other Somali men, on the first floor of the target house. When the Rangers entered the second floor, shots started coming through the window. Rangers on the ground were shooting at their own men. The young Rangers were poorly trained and dangerous. In the streets, fire was rapidly exchanging.

After watching the movie and then reading the book American Sniper I noticed a few different things. Comparing the two and thinking about the similarities and differences. There are not many differences from the movie American sniper and the book American Sniper except that the book talks about his childhood life more. The comparison between the two is interesting because Chris Kyle wrote one while other people directed the other.

American Sniper is a heart-wrenching piece about a man who was willing to sacrifice his life for his country. Written primarily by Chris Kyle, the deadliest sniper in American history, this memoir is interspersed with revealing excerpts told by his wife, Taya. This literary device, known as “change in narrator,” distinguishes his work from others’. Kyle demonstrates his style through his use of change in narrator; this provides greater emotional context, examines different perspectives, and enhances reader understanding.
"There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful thananything that bleeds. Don 't wait until you break. - Laurell Hamilton" This is oftentimes the sentiment felt by soldiers who have served in active duty and have been witnesses to tragedies that leave them emotionally scarred. On December 12, 2012, Sandy Hook Elementary School was invaded by an unstable, armed man. Earlier that year the principal of the school, Dawn Hochsprung, implemented a new security system that required all visitors to buzzed into the school by visual identification. Many schools have also put in similar security systems to have school doors locked at all times during the school day, helping insure students’ safety. For Sandy Hook this minor security system would not be enough. When the gunman arrived to the school, he shot his way through the front do...

Has the thought ever crossed your mind that you could be gunned down while tabulating this month’s sales figures, attending a working review of a future briefing or simply having coffee with a co-worker while you talk about the upcoming weekends plans? Perhaps it should, it crossed my mind several times after listening on the phone to the panic, screams and faint sound of gunfire occurred at the Washington Navy Yard. Despite my training and years of experience it seems that retirement has dulled my sight somewhat, I put those lenses back on a took a hard look at the building I work in between 40-50 hours a week a now see that it is a potential slaughterhouse. A design accentuated by limited exits within sight of one another, closed off office spaces and limited internal locks would provide an advantages to an active shooter with even limited skill.
Except for the main entrance, which was only used by guests (it was off limits to students), all of the doors to the building had metal detectors.
