Imagine you are sprinting through the woods getting shot at by red coats, you are only seventeen and you have been kidnapped. You are running with a so called murderer. Not a very good picture huh? The movie kidnapped is way better than the book there for there is more action in the movie and it made more sense. The movie made more sense because they showed what coat everyone was wearing and so that wasn't confusing who was who because I knew that they switched coats. There is also more action because they include more battle parts to it. in the movie Davies dad doesn't get killed by Ebeneezer he got crushed by a falling tree in a middle of a storm, the movie actually shows detail about the death but the book only tells what happened with no action detail. …show more content…
Also in the book there was a lot of talking and boring parts but in the movie they went strait into the action. In the movie you could see more detail, for example when Davie was in the woods with the creepy poor people you could see that the girl was hiding a big weapon in her robe so she could steal his money. This makes the movie more interesting and makes me want to find out what she is going to do with the weapon. There are many differences and similarities from the movie and book. For example, there was one part that didn't happen in the book this that when Davie was heading to the house of shaws there was two men pretending that one of the men was sick and needed sliver coins for medicine, you could see that the man was lying because he had a little bit of coins him self. This dint happen in the book and it gave the movie a
I like the reading book better than watching the movie because there are more facts in the book than the movie. Maybe I just like reading books better than watching movies. That’s my opinion. What’s yours (if you’ve read the book and seen the movie)?
When you get to the beginning, middle, or end u realize they are both very different. The movie and book have a lot in common like they both have the same characters .
Usually movies try to take the story to a different level or by adding parts or just try to change it to a completely different story. Some of the differences between the movie as to the book are some little and large differences. They might also try taking little parts away that will change how the readers see the story characters. An example of that would be Walter not smoking in the movie (Pg 115). Walter usually smokes because he is stressed or just as a way to relax. Walter also does not get punched by Mam...
One major difference in the movie that was not in the book was the starting scene of the movie was set in the moor with Sir Charles being attacked by the Hound. In the book the starting scene was when Watson and Holmes had just found a walking stick that had the initials C.C.H. on it. I think that the movie starting scene was more informative because it let you know about what was happening and it also gave some more suspense to the film.
I have only included what I have to believe are largely important plot gaps and differences in the movie version in comparison to the book one, and so I apologize again if I have missed any other major ones. Forgive me, please.
Although the book ha more detail, the movie stayed true to the most important parts in the book. The movie was compacted
One major area where the book differs from the movie is the psychological aspect. In the book the father and mother were present but aloof or indifferent. They had come from religious families
Though, it has quite a few differences than the movie, which made shortly after the book was released. In the book, it's hard for most people to completely visualize a character, when in the movie you see the characters acting the story. A few other differences are as follows; Darry slaps Pony (Hinton 50) , It begins with Pony stepping outside (Hinton 1), Pony is more descriptive in the story and talks more, Each character's personality is described (Hinton 2-12) , and that Soda’s girlfriend is mentioned and talked about. (Hinton 111&174) The book by far had more details than the movie. Though, they were small details, they were still
The movie Kidnapped was better than the novel because the movie had many more details that the novel lacked. One reason that the movie was better was
Also within the book you get much more detail than what a movie could ever fit into it reasonably though leaving out intense scenes such as the knife fight between Rose Mary and Rex. The two often fought though some conflicts were left out or altered to fit the story line of the movie and not the book’s. Within the book reader engagement was higher with the knife scene though without being in the movie viewer’s captivity was
Further, the movie is faster paced to fit in as many fragments as possible within the time alloted. Thus, several changes have been made to make this possible and still make an effort to tell the original story. Reading the novel and watching the film will definitely feel somewhat different to a keen mind that is ready to analyze and criticize.
There are a lot of different things in the book that the movies doesn’t contain.. This book and movie was very similar and it was a little difficult to
In the book, every step to solving the case was explained in detail and in a way where it kept you hooked and wanting to read more. In the book it was very different, the mystery was solved very quickly in a way where it was hard to keep up and understand. With that being said the whole movie was very fast paced and undetailed, but it is understandable because the book was very long and it would have been extremely difficult to try and fit it all into such a limited time. Even so, I really enjoyed watching the mystery unfold and watching the twist on the already twisted
The book gets into much more detail and more inside the characters heads. We get to see how truly unpredictable Tyler is. On the other hand, the movie hits just as hard with seeing the bruises and blood. Not to mention the look on the men’s faces after they fight. You would expect it to be pain, but its relief. This is the way they vent. How they get away from their empty lives of working just to live. Away from the dead end jobs and people being condescending all day long. I would assume it’s sort of...
However, there are only few contrast between the movie and the book, even after this these distinctions can have a huge impact on the way people can be influenced to see numerous things about the components of the play. They both have the same setting and all the scenes take
