The beginning of life is a topic of discussion that has many different ‘once upon of times.’ There are several opinions of where we originate from, if we’re all related, and how our ancestors traveled to get where we are today. ‘The Real Eve’ was a documentary that stands as a clarifying key to the answers of these controversial topics, more detailed questions, and stated facts from the beginning of life. The person known as ‘The Real Eve’ was an African woman from East Africa who lived about 150,000 years ago. The name ‘Real Eve’ was another way of saying ‘mother of mankind’ in which everyone on earth is related to and are descendants of. Genetic tracking provides a map for our journeys through successful mitochondrial DNA and knowledge of geographical changes is how it was proved of the Real Eve’s existence. Eve’s daughters and granddaughters are responsible for leading and allowing the spreading of their modern people to take on the rest of the world. …show more content…

The Real Eve was not the only woman alive at the time, but the one to have the most successful mitochondrial genes to survive. Mitochondrial DNA is a unique part of us inherited through the genes of our mothers. Since it is only passed on through the mothering side, men are not able to continue this type of DNA; therefore, the mother passes the mDNA to both their sons and daughters. Scientists ran several tests which finally confirmed that everyone contained a certain type of detail in their DNA showing that Africa is the birthplace of the human race. People’s responses to this data found included genuine need to know more. Sensational feelings of positivity as well as unfavorable views were sparked.
