Russia’s economy is very complex and also very terrible at the same time. Many other economy’s are also like this but Russia’s is a very interesting thing to learn about. Russia’s economy has many things wrong with it that in the long run could probably affected it in a negative way. But it also has many positive things about it.The negatives and the positives are, in my opinion, are equal in Russia economy.
Lets start out with the good things that Russia’s economy has. Russia has an more than enough natural resources. They have plenty of timber, precious metals, oil, gas, and coal. Those resources being exported could easily benefit their economy if it wasn’t for other countries who produce more of the resources taking their potential customers. But, Russia’s economy has been bringing themselves up because they are selling lots of gas and oil to countries like Europe and Asia.
Russia’s economy is very stable. Some of their leader say that they are very lucky to have such a stable economy but they don’t really like it. Other countries that are struggling to bring their country out of the hole they dug themselves into, would love to have the type of economy the Russians have because it’s so stable. But the Russians don’t really like it. The reason the Russian’s don’t like it is because they barely get a 2% growth rate which isn’t enough to really be able to make any significant changes to the country with. If Russia had a better political system then they would most likely be making more economic growth then they are now.
Russia’s economy should continue to stay stable for several more years for multiple reasons. Some economists think that Russia’s economy is going to collapse very soon but with a very close look at the way the...

Russia’s government is in almost complete control over their economy. They get to choose what the budget will be for that year. They also make sure that the stuff they are doing is following strictly on the monetary policies. Their government also controls all federal properties. Also they do everything they can to make sure that their country is safe and that it will be able to defend itself in an attack or invasion.
In conclusion, the Russian economy has undergone many changes from before. Also they have a very stable economy that the growth of it is very low and some Russian leaders hate that it’s like that because they can’t do very much to help the economy grow more. They also have a very low unemployment rate, one of it’s all time lows. Overall, the Russians have a good economy and they won’t let it fall if they keep doing what they are doing now.
The net values of Belarus imported goods and services from other countries exceeded its export of goods and service to other countries creating a large Current Account Deficit. The reason Belarus a former Soviet republic scraped the currency trading restriction is due to the fact its political leadership allowed the Belarus national currency ruble to depreciate as part of a strategy to reduce the current account deficit. The unification of the exchange rates will allow the currency market ability to function as before. The overheated economy under a loose monetary policy created this crisis and the difficulties will be overcome by abolishing the restriction on currency trading. The political promise of 50% increase in wages to the government workers have impacted with no real values other than buying foreign currency and goods. According to Arkhipov and Abelsky (2011), abolishing the currency trading restriction is necessary given the current practice of doin...
In the 19th century, Russia and Latin America responded similarly to industrialization in the formation of a growing middle class, in a “boom” in exports and new economic ties, in urbanization, and in similar acts of revolutionary disobedience against a dictator. Latin America, as a result of industrialization, created a small market for manufactured goods unlike Russia’s vast industrial market powered by foreign investments. Also, there were long-term effects to Russia’s revolution in which a socialist political party was created as a result of industrialization, unlike Latin America which was immobilized with regional conflicts and factionalism.
During the twentieth century, China developed the strongest economy throughout the world. The mass population of the Chinese people helped in the production in goods which in tailed helped China’s economy grow. Russia was not far behind China after the Industrial revolution, Russia needed a plan if they were going to catch up to China. China was relying on the exporting of goods and long term goals for profit. Russia focused on Five-Year Plans, “the form of economy worked for communism, consistently appealing to the intellectuals of developing countries in Asia” (Paul Craig Roberts 2). The Industrial Revolution had helped the growth of both China and Russia’s economy throughout the Twentieth

Russia is a different country than most are used to which has made a history for itself. Russia played a huge part in World War II as well as established many scientific minds and creation. The first mission (unmanned) to outer space was conducted by Russia (Soviet Union). Their government is similar to democracy, but contains a president, a prime minister, a judicial branch, and a Russian Federation Assembly (State Duma and the Federation Council). Power is split between the Prime Minister (Dmitry Medvedev) and the President (Vladimir Putin); however, the president has deciding power (Darlington, 2014).
Stalin’s initial economic impact on Russia was greatly significant as he introduced a number of 5-year-plans that improved the steel and coal industry and provided more jobs. Industrialisation was needed in the USSR, and Stalin turned a mostly backward, illiterate society into a major power in just a few years . Many workers at the time would have seen Stalin as a significant figure due to his plans and actions to modernise Russia as this meant more jobs would be available and they can be more self sufficient as a nation. This support was important, as many farmers across Russia disagreed with Stalin’s ideas, so he relied on the support of workers. Alexander Nove states that if the goal was to modernise and industrialise Russia, then Stalinism
Russia, spanning 11 time zones and serving as home to about 150 million people, possesses tremendous natural and human resources. Demand today for imported consumer goods, capital equipment, and services remains remarkably strong, with imports representing an unusually large percentage of the national market. Despite outstanding long-term market potential, Russia continues to be an extremely difficult country in which to do business.

The Effects of Stalin on Russia Much like Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin was one of the most ruthless and despised people in the recorded history of the world. Stalin, though, found it fit to abuse his people in any way he saw fit. This man started what history now calls "The Great Purge. " Through the late 1920's when the rest of the world was living it up as the roaring 20's came to an end, Joseph Stalin was setting the stage for gaining absolute power by employing secret police repression against opposing political and social elements within his own Communist Party and throughout society.
Russia is the largest country in the world in terms of area and the world’s ninth most populous nation with 143 million people. Due to its large area the country is situated in 4 different climate zones and has vast natural resources. Russia also has a unique geographic position with the 14 border countries, bounded by 3 out of 4 world oceans, facilitating the build of international and domestic supply chains. Russia is one of the most technologically advanced economies in the world with a very big and well-educated work force and one of the largest consumer markets. The Russian economy is commodity-driven and is the world’s largest producer of oil (12%), natural gas (18%) and nickel (20%).
The Soviet Union, which was once a world superpower in the 19th century saw itself in chaos going into the 20th century. These chaoses were marked by the new ideas brought in by the new leaders who had emerged eventually into power. Almost every aspect of the Soviet Union was crumbling at this period both politically and socially, as well as the economy. There were underlying reasons for the collapse of communism in the Soviet Union and eventually Eastern Europe. The economy is the most significant aspect of every government. The soviet economy was highly centralized with a “command economy” (p.1. fsmitha.com), which had been broken down due to its complexity and centrally controlled with corruption involved in it. A strong government needs a strong economy to maintain its power and influence, but in this case the economic planning of the Soviet Union was just not working, which had an influence in other communist nations in Eastern Europe as they declined to collapse.
Capitalism is an economic system in which the production and distribution are privately owned, the government involvement is minimal, and there is free enterprise. In Capitalism, the means of production are privately owned and operated for profit in a competitive market. Also the economic investment, ownership and profits are all owned by individuals. Under capitalism the state is separated from the economy, which means that the government has no role in business. In other words, everyone works for themselves. The market forces in a capitalist country runs by supply and demand which it determines the price and later on it turns into profits. Supply is the quantity of goods and services a business is willing to sell, while Demand is the quantity of goods and services consumers are willing to buy. Therefore, Capitalism is the best economic system because it rewards the ones that work hard and since the government does not control trade, there is a large variety of goods and creates options for consumers to fit their personal needs.
Russia has a high crime rate also. Their crime rate is so high that if you were to go to the store like the grocery store, when you walk in the store u have to lock your things up in a locker and shop. When you got through shopping then you were to pick up your stuff out of your locker. The whole time that you are shopping there are people watching your every move. The reason why the crime rate is so high is because they work hard to get paid a little amount of money. Russia’s unemployment rate is very high. There are not enough jobs in Russia for everyone to have a job. For example if you were to get a job at a fast food restaurant, you were only getting paid a little or nothing an hour and that’s not even close to minuan wage in America.
Even with Russia’s vast amount of land only, a small percentage can produce crops, as the rainfall is inconsistent and the northern tundra are not able to support growth. None the less fishing industry, livestock, and grain have been a staple for feeding the Russian people. Due to this family close, and extended have banded together to take care of each other on a larger scale. Another issue Russia faces is the rise of insurgency and could potentially destabilize the region, by Islamist. There is also the unrest and intervention in the Ukraine. Civil consideration
A market economy is a society that is industrialized. For example, there are factories and workers that make goods. But a society does not need capitalism to be industrialized. A market economy is where there are people who compete. They try to get money by themselves and only for them. They are money greedy and the want it all. This is a goal and this is what a market economy focuses on. But even though society is industrialized, they have limits. They are controlled by the government. For example, Social Security is controlled by the government. When the government controls, institutions do not have many rights. For social security, there are qualifications and these qualifications are made by the government. But the poor face more problems than the rich. For example, the rich have more power and control the ways there
