This also applies to the action in Ground Swell, you can see the wind blowing the waves and the waves crashing against the boat, but you cannot fully see the picture which can lead to confusion by the person viewing the painting, but you can see people in the picture and when you look at things from their point of view you can then see that their focus is on the buoy that is afloat. This buoy is also a symbol of unknowing. For the painting, the repetition that makes up the waves shows small movement in the art, which is a part of minimalism.

They can travel up to five hundred miles an hour and have wave heights of one hundred feet. Earthquakes are the leading cause of tsunamis.

However, people can overcome this fear through determination and instruction from an experienced wakeboarder.

What is the first thing that comes to mind what you think of the word ‘addiction’? What image pops up in your head when you picture a heroin addict, or intravenous drug user, or user of other opiates? People in rags, dirty, living in alleys or squatting in an abandoned building with others in the same circumstance. These questions are hard to answer, and you don’t always know why your imagination jumps to conclusions when associating with certain things or groups with one another; it just does. It may be especially difficult to understand why those associations occur when thinking about addiction. This is probably because images, stigmas and exclusion of addicts from society have been centuries in the making, slowly becoming the inherently linked. Although it is hard to fully understand our inherent beliefs, as our knowledge and understanding of drug addiction grows, it is unfair to continue to stigmatize addicts according to ancient stereotypes of addiction. If we continue to stigmatize addicts and addiction, it will only push addicts further into the underground subculture, away from any help they may need. Deeper social internalization of the stereotypic labeling will ultimately lead to the addicts continued use and unsuccessful freedom from the drug.

American educational philosopher John Dewey once said, “ Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” Education is the foundation of a permanent lifestyle. Parents should desire for their children to have educational stability to build upon. Any concerned parent should want nothing but the best for their child as they are well aware of the new forms of child entertainment. Since the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, children in the United States have become subject to a new type of entertainment: video gaming (Nickson, 2010). Video games have become a big part of the average American household. Parents have begun to wonder how video games are affecting their children’s lifestyles.
Kites have existed for many years but multi-line kites were not even invented until around 1826. People use these multi-line kites for pulling just about anything from kite boards, surfboards, skateboards, roller skates, and skis. The biggest setback for kiteboarding was whenever the riders kite hit the water it would not relaunch because of the material used to make the kites would soak up the water and become too dense to fly through the air. Then Bruno and Dominique Legaignoux came up with the idea of an inflatable kite that would relaunch even when it was soaked in 1982. This helped to increase the popularity of the sport of kiteboarding which did not really emerge until the late 1990’s. Kiteboarding has many names and nicknames but the most common names are kiteboarding, kitesurfing, and fly kiting. The sport did not start to become popular until the 21st century. Ever since then the sport’s participants have increased rapidly throughout the years as it has evolved into the sport we all watch from the shore side. (Terry)
