There are many cons on Interracial Relationships. Many people do not like or accept Interracial Relationships because they would most likely want someone from the same culture and race. Interracial Relationships such as an African American and a Caucasian are not that much accepted because of the history between the two races. It should not matter if significant other is in a different race or culture from the person as long as you love them. Love works in mysterious ways that only God can explain. They are many barriers such as cultural, religious, and language differences, but there are also pros from being in an interracial relationship.
Some of the pros in an interracial relationship is that your offspring will be from two cultures. The children will be able to learn not only about one culture but two. They will be able to explore the wonders of being a multi-cultural offspring. The thought of two races uniting as one to create a beautiful child is so amazing. Another pro is being able to learn another language other than the Standard English. It is healthy to have an Interracial Relationships because there is a lot to learn from other cultures.
Many families have disowned their son or daughter because of the decision of being with someone out of their race. People are too closed minded about the situation. Why would you disown someone you suppose to love, but because of his/her decision to be with a different race you disown them? This is the reason why we have so much controversy in the world. We will never have world peace because the different races refuse to accept and respect each other values and decisions.
Apart from the race differences, there are the religious values as well. This has cause many issues between man...

...e you love as much as that individual will? Society has our minds as human beings corrupted for years and it needs to be stop but when people wake up and actually look around. Everything we see on television has made us think that is the proper and right way to live. Only recently they have started to show interracial couples on television shows such as Lincoln Heights and Being Mary Jane. They are only a handful of open minded people in the United States that accept interracial relationships or respect different cultures and traditions. God created each and every one in their special unique way. Because of society some people African Americans has bleached their skin to be accepted. Society has corrupted our minds and still will continue to. Why should society matters? All that should matters that the two individuals are happy in love and no one should stop that.
In today's society, relationships of all different kinds become more and more accepted each day. However, when it comes to interracial relationships, people still hold opposing viewpoints on the matter. For the most part, peoples' viewpoints all boil down to two beliefs; the traditional belief and the popular culture belief. People who follow the traditional belief are seen as more proud of and loyal to their culture/heritage and tend to be more segregated than others. They feel that when someone of their own culture dates someone outside of their own culture, he or she is "wanting to escape" from his or her cultural identity. On the other hand, popular culture belief sees people not by the color of their skin nor by their culture, but rather
But what if you are a White female in a family that is very much against interracial marriage and you are in love with a Black man, or vice versa, if you are a Black woman in love with a White man who’s family is very secluded to the fact that interracial couples are becoming accepted amongst the 21st century. This exact conflict is represented in the movie Little White Lie. In the movie, Lacey’s mom, Peggy, had an affair and got pregnant by a black man. Peggy states “The fact is if the man with whom I had the affair hadn 't been Black none of this would have come out.” Meaning in the days when the affair has happened, 1968, it was considered so wrong to be in an interracial relationship that the only reason it was a big deal for Peggy to be having an affair was not because of the affair itself but because the affair was with a Black man. Today this belief of segregation among marriage or White and Black still exists, it’s just is not as strong. Some families are realizing that love is love and skin color does not matter as long as the relationship is
People also can hate each other based on their origins, religion, and philosophy or sim...
Race and ethnicity is a main factor in the way we identify others and ourselves. The real question here is does race/ethnicity still matter in the U.S.? For some groups race is not a factor that affects them greatly and for others it is a constant occurrence in their mind. But how do people of mix race reacts to this concept, do they feel greatly affected by their race? This is the question we will answer throughout the paper. I will first examine the battle of interracial relationship throughout history and explain how the history greatly explains the importance of being multiracial today. This includes the backlash and cruelty towards interracial couple and their multiracial children. Being part of a multiracial group still contains its impact in today’s society; therefore race still remaining to matter to this group in the U.S. People who place themselves in this category are constantly conflicted with more than one cultural backgrounds and often have difficulty to be accepted.
To begin with, race has always been the most standard reason why individuals separate themselves
...common ground is not enough, though. Both groups have to be willing to change in order to accommodate the ongoing relationship. Ignorance is part of any race relation and will almost always exist no matter what precautions are taken to prevent it. If a bridge is to be built between the races, people must recognize the importance of differences. They should realize that differences are not something that will hurt or destroy race relations but the very thing that allows the races to exist. A dialogue between the races doesn't imply a need to merge cultures; instead, people ought to see the beauty in differences, allowing the other race to do what it has always done, to live with the differences. These differences inevitably cause some degree of ignorance. Ignorance may serve to hurt race relations in the short run, but it is an inevitable part of race relations.
I've learned a lot from being black and white. It has made me much stronger of a person. If I ever had a chance to choose between one or the other so that I wouldn't be stuck in this double bind, I wouldn't. I'm not just white. And I'm not just black. I am both. I am biracial. And the way I see it is that I have the best of both worlds.
America has had a long history of racism. This fact is more easily understood if racism is understood for what it really is. It is more than just personal hatred. Racism is the “belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics” (What is Racism). The 21st century has brought a lot of changes to the American society. Nevertheless, racism still exists owing to the truth that it is still impossible to persuade the hearts of mankind in terms of racism, which leads to many people wondering how and when black and white racism will end in America. Many solutions have been suggested, and one of the various solutions is black and white interracial relationships. Such relationships have recently been successful in the 21st century, which leads us to the definitive question: can interracial relationships help reduce black and white racism in the 21st century?
There are only two ways people can be equal. One way is to be the same physically; the other is to be the same mentally. Considering the former first, are people the same physically? No. We have tall and short, thin and fat, young and old, White and Black, strong and weak, fast and slow, plus all sorts of mediums and in-betweens. No equality is to be seen among individuals. As to differences among races, there are many differences such as head shape and facial features, physical maturity at birth, brain formation and cranial capacity, visual and auditory acuity, body size and proportions, number of vertebrae, blood types, bone density, length of gestation period, number and distribution of sweat glands, rate of infant development of alpha brain waves, fingerprints, ability to digest milk, hair forms and distribution, odor, colorblindness, genetic diseases (such as sickle cell anemia and Tay Sachs), galvanic skin resistance, pigmentation of the skin and eyes, and susceptibility to infectious diseases. If there are this many physical differences, it would be silly to think that there would be no mental differences, and indeed we do find that they not only exist, but are of great significance.
When a person of color is in a relationship with a white person, their relationship is often met with great tension. The history of issues with interracial relationships in the United States is long. Loving someone across the color line was once illegal, but now that segregation is over, more people are having interracial relationships.
Now days people are struggling with people accepting their opinion. Some people like other people of the same sex and because of that they're not treated the same. There was a new law made. They are having difficulties showing their opinion to the world. Some people say being gay is wrong, and others say it’s okay to be different. There are still a lot of people who are racist and people everyday still get teased by and laughed at because of their color of skin ,and has led to serious problems and boycotts. Some people think it’s okay to have a boundary in between color skin people. If you are going to judge someone judge them by their character at least not by their color of their skin because at the end of the day we all breathe the same air. On December 5th Dr King was elected president of the Montgomery Improvement Association (MIA) to defend Rosa Parks a lady that refused to stand up her seat for a white person. The next day that happened every single negro started boycotting by not going on the busses, that way they would run out of business. Majority of the citizens who went on the busses were African
Despite the vast number of superficial differences
If all men are created equal, then why should differences in race matter? Unfortunately our society has not lived up to the standards set by its forefathers.
Regardless of the years to come interracial marriage will continue growing. It will not always have a positive effect on families, children, and societies. There will be adversity in interracial marriages because of the ignorance that will still exist because everyone will not be on the same page. It is the duty of everyone to try and play a role in helping to uplift society. Everyone is capable of doing this, but in order for succession we must act and be loud with our actions. Only then the ignorance will start to disappear and succession of interracial marriages will start to be looked at as a norm.
The benefits of living in a multi-ethnic society are that you get to meet new people and learn interesting things about them. People get a chance to understand others and realise they’re equal to us. It makes people less ignorant and alters stereotypical views they may have had beforehand from media influence or friends/relatives. We begin to respect them more and understand their views on specific subjects. This could help people become less racist. Also, you get a chance to learn a variety of new languages. If you were learning Spanish at school for example, you could practice it by having a conversation with somebody who’s previously lived there. You get a chance to widen your knowledge about the outside world by learning interesting facts from people from different cultures. It makes life more interesting and less repetitive because without a multi-ethnic society everybody would be similar and you wouldn’t experience many new things. We wouldn’t know about certain religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Sikhism. The only known religion would be Christianity so people wouldn’t be able to choose from a wide range of religions like you can now. Furthermore, beautiful buildings such as mosques and temples wouldn’t be around. Our country would be so much more dull and uninteresting. A multi-ethnic society can bring new ideas and ways of doing things into the everyday lives of people living in Britain.
