Introduction:
Vets have a good sense of problem solving, and this fits my personality. I know that if I pursue this career as a Veterinarian I will enjoy working everyday. I am good at solving problems and investigating what the source of the problem is, I can apply this knowledge to helping animal’s health. I’ve always liked playing with animals and taking care of them whenever they need help. This has always been an interest to me, and it brings me joy whenever I can help the animals in any way possible. Just last week my dog was shaking and his eyes were swollen. My mom came to me first for help, she knows that I am good with dogs. I covered his eyes and put warm blankets around him, and he was back to normal in thirty minutes. …show more content…

Boardman told us to take a survey to see what our interests are, we took this to figure out what type of job would fit us best. My top interest was investigative, this ties into my career as a Veterinarian. The reason this survey made sense was that I know I am a good problem solver and an investigative person gets to the bottom of things. The second day of woking on the search we did research on our selected career, and looked over the job description, requirements, and the average job salaries. I learned a lot of new information about the career through reading articles that talked about the job. Day three started with searching for significant points about our career that we found interesting. I then looked over the job tasks and wrote down the ones that seemed to stand out to me. On the last day we were told to search an informational video about our topic, we wrote down fifteen notes about what we found interesting. They diagnose, treat, and research medical transitions and diseases of pets, livestock, and other animals (Bureau 1). Vets are to be very good at taking care of animals and also intelligent in medicine and have knowledge of sciences. A typical day at the Vet’s office I would imagine would include a lot of busy work, and also seeing patients and treating them for checkups or diagnosing a disease (Jobs 1). Veterinarians are the doctors of the pets and they are in charge of keeping the animals health one-hundred percent.
