There are many different personality tests out there and many to try. At the end of the test it will tell you what your personality is like. The different personality tests will be, The Big-Five Personality test, Myers-Briggs Personality test and Holland’s Personality test. Investigative means I am logical, inquisitive and explorative. Social means I am friendly, understanding and generous. Artistic means I that am imaginative, original, and impulsive. With me being an ISA, it recommends jobs that are psychological. My future job, which I see as my dream job, is to become a psychiatric nurse in a psychiatric ward in a hospital. I would love to help people who are mentally and criminally insane. I think it is great that my personality fits with the job I want to do. They were inspired by Carl Jung to create the personality test. Today the personality test is used in jobs to help find the best place for someone and in counseling and executive development. The personality test has become the most popular personality test. According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indication, I am an ESTJ. ESTJ stands for Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking and Judging. Extroverted people are outgoing, enjoy being around other people, are talkative and like to be the center of attention. (Myers, Briggs). I believe I am partially an extrovert and partially not. I enjoy being with my close friends and family. I don’t enjoy being with large groups of people and people I don’t know very well. Around people I do know, I like to be open and be the life of the party, and include everyone, but when I am with a big crowd of people it is more difficult for me. Having completed the Myers-Briggs Personality Test previously, I was identified as an INTP, which stands for introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. Accordingly, this personality is often labeled as “The Architect” or “The Logician.” Despite my previous results, I repeated the test as instructed in the assignment. Consequently, based on the outcome of the test, my personality has altered in the past year. Various sources point to this type as;” The Executive.” The research I have done has brought tremendous insight into; who I am as a person, the functions of my thinking process and how to utilize my strengths to be more of an efficient/successful person. I also learned about the various careers the best suit my personality type which; helps me when It comes to job seeking after graduation. The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important for our future decisions.
In the Open-Mindedness personality section, my percentile is a 7. I’m more close-minded, meaning I tend to be conventional, down to earth, narrow interests, uncreative, and I prefer traditional and familiar experiences. In the Conscientiousness personality section, my percentile is an 87. I’m more conscientiousness, meaning I am reliable, well-organized, self-disciplined, careful; reliable, well-organized, self-disciplined, careful, very well-organized, and can be relied upon. When it comes to the Extraversion personality section, my percentile is a 7. I’m introverted, meaning I tend to be shy, reserved, inhibited, quiet, and I probably enjoy spending quiet time alone. When it comes to the Agreeableness personality section, I scored a 78. I tend to be agreeable, meaning I tend to be good natured, sympathetic, forgiving, and courteous. Finally, when it comes to the Negative Emotionality personality section, my percentile is 67. I’m a little bit more nervous/High Strung than Calm/Relaxed.
The bases of this paper will be based on the results that I had obtained when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test. The results that I had obtained was that I was determined to be an ENFJ. I will go into depth about letter and how each represents that a specific aspect of my personality. The results that I had received were not what I had expected, but the more I read about the trait the more I realized how it suited me. I will also talk about the information that I had found useful from the book, Type Talk at Work: How the 16 Personalities Types Determine Your Success on the Job by Otto Kroeger, which gave me insight on how to interact with other personality types especially in the work environment. The information that I absorbed from the personality test and from the book will go into use in my personal and work life so that both environments will be cohesive and peaceful.

Throughout the beginning of this semester I have looked at how individuals behave within business organizations. Through various exercises and results, I have found a number of patterns within my behavior and interests. I have become aware what interests me, and a number of skills/abilities I was oblivious I had. This reflection and in class exercises has allowed me to expand my skills, abilities, and behaviors, well fitting them into prospective future employment.
The Big Five Theory is a useful tool to create a personality profile for a particular individual. By analysing a person using The Big Five Traits of extraversion, openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness and neuroticism one can determine an individual’s basic personality profile.
Personality psychologists that were fascinated in what distinguishes one individual from another created the Big Five Personality test to conclude why we act the way we do as john stated (John). The Big Five Personality traits can be summarized into five separate groups starting with neurotic, extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness and Openness/experience. John states that in the systematic group The Big Five is now the most precise and most benefited model (John). After taking the Personality tests myself the results seemed pretty accurate to what I was expecting but in some of the categorize I was a little bit shocked as well.
In the vast and detailed world of psychology, there are a variety of different tests you can participate in. For example, you can participate in aptitude, verbal or numerical reasoning, and psychometric tests. These tests assess on a variety of different situations such as: behaviors, abilities and intelligence. Personality tests, a common and favored test, measure things such as: behavioral style, opinions, motivators, personal values and career interests. Most often, people complain or disagree with the score of some areas on their personality test; however, there are no right or wrong answers. After completing this personality test and reviewing the results, I found that the overall scoring accurately described me in most areas. The Big Five Personality test scores in five different areas involving openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
For this assignment, I was able to use the Big Five Personality Test. The Big Five Personality Test uses a statistical skill which is referred as factor analysis to find the result of the personality.The Big Five Test uses a model called OCEAN which is the acronym for personalities such as; openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism.
