Blind, Deaf, and mute that is Helen Keller. She had a play and a movie written about her the movie was based on the play the title of the both is The Miracle Worker. The author of the play is William Gibson, the play was published during the year 1959. The movie was produced in 1962 which was directed by Arthur Penn. Some of the cast was Patty Duke who played Helen Keller, Annie Barcroft the woman who played Annie , Captain Keller was played by Victor Jory, James was played by Andrew Prine, and last Kate was played by Inga Swenson. In the movie and in the play were sometimes different because they had to make it fit and more interesting so people would watch it and buy it. My paper is a compare and Contrast between the movie and the play about …show more content…
Another example of a similarity is when Annie got locked into her room by Hellen, first Helen hit Anne in the ace with a doll which made he bleed and knock out a tooth then she looked Helen in her room and after Anne was brought out by the window Hellen waited for everyone to leave then she dropped the key down a well but what Hellen didn’t know was that Anne was standing right there watching. Another similarity was the kitchen scene, that scene was really similar the whole scene Helen and Annie were hitting, biting, kicking, slapping and throwing water at each other just so Helen could learn to use silverware and folded her napkin. The last similarity is the well scene when Helen learned about the connection between the object and its name then like they movie and book Helen was so happy she ran around with Anne and had her spell thing into her hand and Helen repeated what Annie did. To conclude there were many more similarities but there are some of the biggest milestones in Anne Sullivan's life and The keller’s as well especially Helen Keller’s
Here are the flashbacks and foreshadowing. One of the similarities is they both had to do with animals and their parents telling them something. The other is that they have flashbacks of animals. Those are the similarities with flashbacks and foreshadowing.
Another similarity in the book and movie is that the characters have to go against their morals in order to decide what to do in certain situations. An example of this in the book is when Skip realises he would have to trespass and steal in order for him to keep himself and his friends alive. Or in...
Three things that were similar and different include the following. In the book it showed they lived in an annex above Mr.Frank's business. In the movie it also showed them hiding in a secret annex above Mr.Frank’s business for hiding from the Nazis so they didn't get caught. Another similarity that happened was Anne and Peter start liking each and visited each other and visited each other in the attic, which was also in the book, along with the movie. There are a lot of similarities that were in the movie and the book, but these are just some of them.
Some similarities are obviously that they are both slaves who are trying to escape their misery. The characters also have a good relationship with their fathers because they taught them how to care for themselves and what to do when they need
... almost nothing alike from a superficial aspect. The stories have different historical contexts and they simply don’t have much in common to the average audience. It is easy to contrast the stories, but deep within certain elements, the stories can be linked in several ways.
The similarities are prolific in their presence in certain parts of the novel, the very context of both stories shows similarities, both are dealing with an oppressed factor that is set free by an outsider who teaches and challenges the system in which the oppressed are caught.
and the film Life is Beautiful. These stories have somethings alike but many striking differences
One similarity is that Johnny’s folks are always fighting in the movie as well as in the book and Johnny just hates it so much that he cried one night. Johnny just felt like no one knew what he was going through because no one else’s folks had fought like his did. Also when Darry was mad at PonyBoy and he had accidently slapped him and it made Pony sad and mad because he already felt like Darry hated him. Even though Darry did not mean it and he felt really bad Pony just wanted him to leave him alone. Another similarity is that Johnny had killed a Soc because they were drowning Pony so he did it so that Pony would not die. This led into them going to the church and one day it was on fire and Pony and Johnny had went in there to save the kids which led to Johnny dieing and everything just went downhill from that point. Even though there is many differences between the book and the movie there is also many
A third similarity is both endings are purposely incomplete. These two stories are left on a cliffhanger; Margot gets let out of the closet, and you don’t know how fatal the throwing of stones at Tessie
“Adam and Eve” and “Flowers For Algernon” are similer in plot is because it kinda falls back on theme. Theme and plot are eachothers stands. Why they are similar is because like theme they both have the same outcome that they didnt
A few of the similarities that existed between the stories were as follows: Both main characters (Mr. Peter and Mrs. Wright) are being held captive. No children were involved as characters. The Theme of both stories was in looking for the truth. The authors also maintain a small amount of suspense by making the clues somewhat vague.
Overall, the resemblance between the two stories’ themes and meanings is remarkable.
Characterisation is vastly different in the film when compared to the play. This, however, is done so as to make more sense to a modern
Television and film are things that have been enjoyed by people for decades. A lot of people do not think of deaf people when they think about television and film, but they do not realize how much of an influence Deaf people have had on television and film. Deaf people have been part of television almost since it started. In this Paper I will talk about the history of deaf actors and actresses in Television and film,Marlee Matin, and deaf actors and actresses in television and film now.
The first of many important similarities is that in the book as well as the movie, May, August Rosaleen and Lily all
