It was early morning when he awoke and in the distance, the sound of hammering and voices could be heard. He went to the window to see what was happening, relieved that the rebuilding of the city had already begun. Nightburn went to Sir Faine’s room to talk to him, but he was not there, however, Sir Seth was. “Lord Nightburn!” He bowed his head. “Sir Seth. I want you to oversee the rebuilding of this fine city.” “It would be my honor, my lord.” “I wish this city to be impervious to attack because I never want to see my city sacked again. You will be rewarded upon completion. I suggest you get to work right away.” Sir Seth bowed and hurried away to do his bidding. He went back to his room and found himself spending his …show more content…
“What is the potion of Anu and why is it important?” “The potion of Anu is a vitality potion. It is the only one of its kind in existence. No one has ever been able to recreate it but if we were to obtain the potion, we could probably duplicate it and use it. However, only council members would be allowed access to the potion, not lowly novices like you.” Sir Rogsworth, finally realized his questions were alienating him from the rest of the members of the council, so he decided to heed Duke Gashard’s advice and keep his mouth closed. “Now the next matter. Paladins in the west have begun a new campaign against necromancy as well. What should we do about this?” The man next to Duke Gashard spoke. “What can we do, they outnumber us. Their order has continually grown over the years. With the Black Visage’s disappearance, our orders’ members and their powers have withered and died. We were once powerful, but I fear we do not have the power we once …show more content…
But enough of this, let us enjoy the rest of the evening by demonstrating our skills we have honed. Shall we have fun with this maiden?” All the men at the table laughed. Sir Rogsworth, knowing this is why he had been sent, spoke out. “I am unfamiliar with your game. What are the rules?” “The rules are simple, manipulate her body in such a manner as to break her chains. Of course, she is still alive and will scream but that is part of the challenge. You must not let her screams distract you. This is an easy way to hone your skills because the manipulation of the body is an art.” “This is the first time I have ever heard of this.” Sir Rogsworth blurted out. “Has Balthazar taught you nothing? Manipulation of corpses was first performed by the necromancer, Solace. They named this Sanctuary for him. For thousands of years, necromancers have gathered here to test their abilities in the manipulation of bodies of others, contorting them in such ways as to break the chains that bind them. The chains are old but strong, stronger than the chains used now. Solace created this art, not only for his own pleasure but as a defensive maneuver. He could take that corpse and turn it into something ferocious. In case of attack, he could make the corpse walk like a spider and scurry up walls or a foray of other astonishing feats. Most necromancers do not practice this art anymore. Council members, worried that manipulation would become a lost
“Doctor Frein, you’ve kept me waiting imperturbably. When are you going to clue me in on the mortals I get to entertain my boredom with?” Doctor Frein smirked.
" I wish I could have helped more but hey did you hear about Lord Williamson " she says in a hushed tone. I stop and I turn around quickly.
The mercenary laughed at me. “I told you before Reinhardt. Such outdated virtues have no place in this world anymore. The only thing that matters is to get the job done, no matter the cost.” “Don’t bother trying to talk to him Rein,” said Tracer.
"Say, how do you know its bad news anyway if you haven't opened it huh?"
The longest running tradition in medicine, bloodletting, was a widely accepted practice with a three-thousand year-old history from the ancient Egyptians to the late 19th century. At that time, physicians thought that disease was a curse caused by the supernatural. It was a common idea that blood carried the vital force of the body and was the seat of the soul. Anything from body weaknesses to insanity were attributed to a defect in this vital fluid. Bloodletting was a method for balancing other fluids in the body and cleansing it of impurities. Shakespeare takes the same knowledge of blood and applies it to “Macbeth” in which the connotations not only foretell one’s glory but also one’s guilt.

This monologue represents an exercise in creative writing. It was created to convey something that Sir Gawain might say:
“But afterward the townspeople, theretofore sufficiently unfearful of each other to seldom trouble to lock their doors, found fantasy recreating them over and again - those somber explosions that stimulated fires of mistrust in the glare of which many old neighbors viewed each other strangely, and as strangers.” (3).
"Noble prophets and oracles, we must now rise for the battle of all ages. You have lived for the love of our Lord, will you now not die for it? We must be strong in our faith to conjure the spirit necessary to defeat the growing evils of Vec. The evil inside the men grows stronger by the hour and we must hold fast. Our belief shall be the lance that pierces the evil of Vec and frees the four men from their satanic shackles." With a dramatic ending to the resounding applause received, Barrin stepped away from the podium and back to his chambers for more meditation.
He answered her, “Before the sun sets tomorrow, you must give away all the valuable things you stole. Not a single doubloon must be left in any of your chambers and you have to release everyone whom you have held captive.”

"There is no point in fighting us!" Each one shouted, clearly rehearsing it a few times beforehand. "Your precious Peacekeeper will be dead within minutes! Join us and see what wonders await for you outside of these boarders!"
Necromancy comes from the Greek word, Nekromanteia, which loosely translates to dead divination (Dolley). The art form uses spirits of the deceased, and works of sorcery involving the use of human remains and the death current. Necromancy creates ghoulish practices such as digging up corpses. In the older days, necromancers made use of chants to awaken the dead. Though the wording of these conjurations differed from book to book, “By the Virtue of the Holy Resurrection and the agonies of the damned,..arise, I charge and command thee” was used the most (Crespo). Necromancers utilized many other objects to insure command of the dead. However, the art of necromancy could not be completely lost. Although the practice of necromancy continued to
“Alright,” he said aloud, not particularly wanting to see every single hiding spot within the city. Ikary stopped, and Calix took him on his arm. He stroked the falcon a bit between the wings and gave him silent orders to stay out of the fighting as much as possible, and watch out for archers. The bird squawked as if to say, “Obviously,” and gave a lofty toss of his head. He preened at the dry skin on his master’s fingers a bit, then took off again.
