The Lego movie is the story of a simpleton turned knight-in-shining-armor and co on their journey to the top as they brave life on the run from a benevolent dictator in order to foil his devious plot to freeze the world in his image for all eternity. To make matters worse, pretty much each and every citizen is completely oblivious to the full extent of the chaos that is ensuing. At first glance, life seems all but perfect, but in reality, this could not be further from the truth. Even if this is as obvious as the sky is blue, Lord Fussiness has managed to keep resistance at bay through means of manipulating the minds of his citizens into believing a false sense of safety and freedom under his every watch.

The first tableau is set towards the beginning of the story and depicts a still-oblivious Emmet as he is reading through an Instruction Manual briefing him on what to do for his morning.

Previously, he had played god and tried to make everything absolutely spot-on perfect, this transitioned into the Lego-World and led to a strict and unforgiving Dystioua. The business man did not have bad intentions to begin with. Instead, he did only what he thought was perfect, and only did what was in his best interest, and what he thought was in everyone's best interest. This can apply to and in fact is a symbol of real-life scenarios of people whom do what they believe is in the best wishes of everyone else, yet in actuality is not. This leaves viewers teary-eyed and fully understanding of the situations present throughout the story. This scene is set in real-life and is a symbol of scenarios in real-life such as dictatorships and mining communities, of which people are very likely to be able to relate
