The Lego movie is the story of a simpleton turned knight-in-shining-armor and co on their journey to the top as they brave life on the run from a benevolent dictator in order to foil his devious plot to freeze the world in his image for all eternity. To make matters worse, pretty much each and every citizen is completely oblivious to the full extent of the chaos that is ensuing. At first glance, life seems all but perfect, but in reality, this could not be further from the truth. Even if this is as obvious as the sky is blue, Lord Fussiness has managed to keep resistance at bay through means of manipulating the minds of his citizens into believing a false sense of safety and freedom under his every watch.
The first tableau is set towards the beginning of the story and depicts a still-oblivious Emmet as he is reading through an Instruction Manual briefing him on what to do for his morning.
When viewers are to envision a perfect and carefree Utopia, an Instruction Manual more than definitely does not come to mind and in fact is to emphasize the

fact that the citizens of this society are in fact living under a Dystopian leadership, while nevertheless being controlled and if by going by these rules, will have no individuality, and therefore, no freedom for creativity if everything has to be "by the book". The reason this sequence takes place towards the beginning of the story is to give viewers a brief understanding of the society these people are faced with yet not explicitly saying these people live in turmoil. Some keen-eyed viewers may even be potentially foreshadowing what is to come later on in the story. The Instruction Manual is again shown in scene 4, only this time, Emmet is seen awe-struck as he stares intently at the Piece-Of-Resistance, glancing to the Piece-Of-Resistance, , and then to the booklet that reads "Don't touch strange blocks", again dealing strict rules the citizens must obey, this can potentially leave some viewers foreshadowing what is to happen in the near future if they haven't already. In this scene, a close up shot can be seen of Emmet as he pans from the booklet in his hands to the all-powerful Piece-Of-Resistance, of course to emphasize the use of an instruction booklet in an every-day lifestyle. This of course leaves viewers with a larger range of ideas of what is to come and how these people are controlled. The setting of this scene is in a fair city, complete with parks, buildings, and (ironically) construction workers. This allows viewers to relate to the situation of living in an advanced civilization yet still being controlled. The colours are also very vibrant, leaving viewers unknowing of the future and thinking "What could go wrong?". Scene 5 takes place only moments after the events of Scene 4, in which Emmet went against the rules and touched the Piece-Of-Resistance. This scene depicts a dazed Emmet regaining consciousness from his encounter with the Piece-Of-Resistance, only to find himself in chains and being profusely interrogated by a police officer with an intriguing character. When Emmet fails to satisfy the officer sufficiently with his account, the officer resorts to completely extreme methods of interrogation and went as far as to threaten Emmet's life with a laser gun. This shows the price you pay for breaking a rule as stupid as "Don't touch strange blocks". Who knows what else could happen if you were to break out of the morning suite of all things? If it wasn't bad enough that individuality is frowned upon, this clearly shows the punishment you must pay in this society for doing just that, and also shows a clearer picture of the dystopia the society is in actuality. This leaves viewers with a wider understanding of the society these people live in and gives viewers a good image of what is happening behind the scenes of it all. The lighting of this scene is very dark, further contributing to the scene's Good-Cop-Bad-Cop esque nature. This leaves viewers with a sense of not getting the full picture, and sitting hopelessly in anxiety. Going backwards to the orientation of the story, Scenes 2 depicts Every citizens they bid good morning to passersby, and to add to this, Scene 3 depicts is everyone singing "Everything Is Awesome" in perfect unison. Both of these scenes depict not even a hint of anyone fraying from the crowd, it wasn't until hours after first starting to sing did Emmet eventually detach from everyone else. Both of these symbolize conformism as there is no willingness of others to do their own task. Additionally, the "Everything Is Awesome" song itself represents a false sense that everything is fine. Even the title of the song is namesake to the false belief Lord Business propagates to his citizens that "Everything Is Awesome". This alone can leave viewers naive to the full front of the picture, after all, everything seems fine to begin with after all. It should also be noted that conformism alone is capable of change and individuality being a thing of the past, as conformism is based on following the same suite day in and day out, combine this with the additional rules and repercussions for breaking these rules, you get no individuality, no freedom, and of course this means, no creativity. Jumping forward to a fair portion later in the story, Scene 7 depicts Emmet using his head as a wheel in an itch-effort to evade capture from Lord Business' subordinates. This shows a break away from conformism, In his previous life as a follower of Lord Business, Emmet had performed the same tasks 24/7 365, but now, he is shown to posses immense potential, and it was only after breaking from the fray was he able to accomplish this. With not living under Lord Business' rule, Emmet was able to exert a sense of freedom, individuality, and a free way of thinking, doing what he wants to do and not letting his decisions be dictated by someone else. This leaves viewers not just entertained, but also gives them insight in regards to the difference between thinking under a Dystopia, and thinking under one's own choice. The setting of this scene is the Wild West, which is fitting seeing as a chase scene ensued not long after Emmet and co arrived. This leaves viewers of whom can relate entertained as they may be fans of the Wild West genre. Scene 8 depicts Emmet as he assembles the Master Builders in a desperate attempt to foil Lord Business' evil plans. This depicts a resistance of people ready and willing to fight back against the oppressive dystopia who, like Emmet, were forced into hiding due to their creative and fast thinking. There are a lot of familiar faces amongst the crowd, including Superman, Wonder-Woman and Green Ninja just to name few. This shows the range of Lord Business' reign is not limited to the fair city depicted in Scene 1, but extends throughout the entire Lego universe. This leaves fans very entertained to see familiar faces, yet also allows them to see how many people have been oppressed by Lord Business' outrageous views. "Cloud Cuckoo Land" is the setting for this scene, and is the result of complete freedom without anguish and dictatorship from Lord Business. Because of this, it could be regarded as a Utopia, unlike Lord Business' dystopia. After viewing this scene, the audience is given the full extent of concentrated creativity and freedom all bottled up in one world, giving them a concise idea of how freedom affects creativity. The last scene depicts a real-life sequence of a business man embracing his son after seeing the error of his ways.
Previously, he had played god and tried to make everything absolutely spot-on perfect, this transitioned into the Lego-World and led to a strict and unforgiving Dystioua. The business man did not have bad intentions to begin with. Instead, he did only what he thought was perfect, and only did what was in his best interest, and what he thought was in everyone's best interest. This can apply to and in fact is a symbol of real-life scenarios of people whom do what they believe is in the best wishes of everyone else, yet in actuality is not. This leaves viewers teary-eyed and fully understanding of the situations present throughout the story. This scene is set in real-life and is a symbol of scenarios in real-life such as dictatorships and mining communities, of which people are very likely to be able to relate
to.

Most people can remember playing with Legos at some point in their lives. From 1958-2013, 650 billion Lego bricks were manufactured and sold in 130 countries, making Legos one of the most popular childhood toys. In more recent years, with digital technology on the rise, Lego’s have a become popular subject in video games and movies. The Lego Movie was the first movie centered around Legos to use a fully CGI animation style. While The Lego Movie may at first appear to be an average children's movie, it's storyline goes much deeper than that most movies marketed primarily to families, allowing it to quickly become one of the most sold movies of 2014. Through the use of creative cinematography which helps reinforce the storyline, as well as an ingenious adaptation of an Orwellian society, based upon capitalist values and extreme conformity, The Lego Movie pushes a pro-libertarian, anti-capitalist message, hidden behind the innocent facade of children’s movie.

Toy Story is the groundbreaking 1995 motion picture developed by Disney and Pixar and directed by John Lasseter. The film was so revolutionary not only because it was the first feature length animation to be created completely by CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) but also, also the film was more rounded in all respects. The characters not only looked more sophisticated and three-dimensional but their personalities were also more human and fewer cartoons like. The film uses a constructed text in order to put across a theme of two very different characters learning to work together beyond their rivalries to rise above a common enemy and work towards a common goal. The film uses characters and imagery very cleverly to portray this theme. The music used in the film is also different to other Disney features. Rather than the characters bursting into song themselves as in Aladdin or Hercules, the songs are played and sung by an outside person (Randy Newman) and reflect the mood and emotions of the characters in a particular scene. For example, the title sequence song “Friend in Me”, when Woody and Andy are playing together, and the scene where Andy’s room has been made over to a Buzz Lightyear theme, “Strange Things” where the song reflects Woody’s confusion and fear not only about the change in his surroundings but also the change in his friends and his own character and self-confidence. The attention to the smallest detail for example the reflections in Buzz’s visor give the film even more realism and depth. The use of unusual and imaginative camera angles, made possible by the use of CGI, also adds to the texture and pace of the film.
District 9 is a film that takes us into a realm of a different world from the one that we know now. It combines extraterrestrial life with immense science fiction to illustrate a story we could only imagine to ever actually occur. Although it was created for entertainment purposes, the motion picture can be compared to many different types of individuals and situations. District 9 displays many underlying concepts throughout the movie about racism, prejudice and discrimination. While studying and analyzing the plot and characters, these concepts became more translucent to me, the viewer. This paper will discuss the treatment of District 9 residents and equate their treatment to people with disabilities.
Almost two hundred years ago a gadget called camera was invented and, after some years, the television and cinema were created. Nowadays, the movie industry has become one of the largest industries with millions of employees and producers. But have you ever wondered how much these movies actually cost to make? Well, it seems that the average cost to make a movie is around $66 million and all that for just one and a half hour or even two and a half hours in some cases. But which is the most expensive movie ever made ? Could it be Mr. Cameron’s Avatar?
The art or science of the picture that photographer put into the scene in the film is that The Matrix is set in a dystopian advanced, world where computer machines have taken over the world. The computers oppress human’s to generate electronic power by their brains and body heat to power them in the absence of the Sun. Looking to the point where by Neo gets the truth and decided to go deeper into the Rabbit Whole to find the truth if he is “The One”, by joining Morpheus and Trinity. We see that The Oracle who predicted that Neo is The One to end the war between humans and machines. I can emphasis that by putting the scene where by Agents kill Neo before even escaping The Matrix. Neo is then recharged by a kiss from Trinity in the real world
There are many artists in the world of cinematography, one, Peter Jackson, stands out the most. He brought the world of Middle Earth to life in his films through two series, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy. They are his greatest works. Both were done masterfully, inspired by the famous author J. R. R. Tolkien’s books. The Most recent one, The Hobbit, told the backstory of Bilbo Baggins and the discovery of the ring of power. Yet, The Hobbit, while masterfully done, simply cannot top the incredible way Jackson directed and created The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
