But don’t feel sorry for them, their entire empire was built on negative press. If you only read about the family in magazines and articles then your opinion of the Kardashians is probably the worst, trashy celebrities and famous for being famous party girls (Jensen). Despite the criticism, the Kardashians have become very successful. Their fame does not stop at the reality show. The show only plays a small part of their expanding empire. They are widely featured in newsstands, magazines and radio shows across the world. It is no wonder that a reality television show of their lives was formed. They are undoubtedly one of the hottest families in Hollywood. When Keeping Up With the Kardashians isn’t showing for a period a time, there is usually a spin off show like “Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hampton’s.” The family has taken the title for all-American family “Brady Brunch” for the 21st century (Pathak). The show became a way for the family to share their personal lives and stories and portray that even having money and fame, nobody is perfect and everyone has problems. No matter what, even after fights, the family sticks together. This family has strong women who can support themselves and thrive in the media and fashion industry. Each Kardashian can hold their own and each has their own personality and characteristics. Kris Jenner says there were multiple reasons for putting cameras on the family. “We were still reeling, believe it or not, from the death of my ex-husband and this opportunity was something for us to do together” (Jensen.) The daughters and the mother referred to the show as healing and therapeutic for them. The family says that nothing about the show is scripted or stage in any way. “When we originally talked about doing this, I told them that yes, we have drama, but the bottom line is that we all love each other. We’re sticking together, no matter what happens. That has to be shown on the show. It has to be more than about a bunch of girls running around. Its about a family,” says
Since the beginning of time itself, Television has been one the most influential pieces of media that the world has ever encountered. The beginning days of television depicted stereotypical mothers cooking and cleaning their homes for their husbands and children. Yet, as the decades passed, television took a dramatic turn, leaving the days of drama free entertainment as a vast memory. Now a day, however, when one hits the power on button to Bravo, the screen lights expand to ritzy socialites dealing with their everyday lives as “housewives”. Bravo TV’s hit number one reality television show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, deals with the everyday lives of modern-day housewives. When speaking of these women and their family life, the reality series shows its viewers that family life in modern times is dramatic, full of misrepresentations of how people are perceived, and that fame comes at the cost of family.
The women of the state of Arizona have always played a significant role in politics. Before most women even had the right to vote, two women from Arizona, Frances Munds and Rachel Berry, were the first women elected into the state legislature. Today, Arizona has the highest percentage of women in the state legislature. More impressive is the fact that Arizona is the first state ever to have an all-female elected line of succession. There is no doubt that these five women greatly contributed to making 1997 the "Year of the Woman," where there was a dramatic increase in women's representation in the House and Senate. Why women in Arizona have flourished in the political arena and continue to do so is a question our group will try to answer in our research. More specifically, I will discuss women in current Arizona politics. In reviewing the role of women in current politics today, I will discuss the reasons as to why women have such strong political power in the state of Arizona, and the difference, between the views of voters in Arizona and other states. I will also discuss not only the future of women in Arizona politics but the future of women in national politics as well, and what to expect as the new millenium approaches.

Throughout time, mankind has progressed in numerous ways through the collaboration of diverse ethnic groups. The Han dynasty as well as the Roman Empire both developed during the classical era, circa 600 B.C.E – 600 C.E. Although, they were both prosperous civilizations, which developed numerous aspects within their society, they possessed distinct outlooks towards technology in general. Individuals within the Han dynasty possessed a positive perspective towards technology, as this was imperative in promoting the prosperity of society as well as making the lives of the common people incorporated in the Han dynasty more leisurely. Rome, however, possessed a negative attitude towards technology, though it did benefit the well-being of their society,

The reality TV show, The Real Housewives of Orange County, shown on Bravo, is recognized to be one of the most dramatic, luxurious and outrageous reality TV shows and definitely the most viewed out of the Real Housewives series. The TV show is based around literal housewives, women who stay at home and seem to look pretty on their husband’s arm, and their daily “tribulations”. These wives live in mega-mansions and live the lifestyle one can only dream of having. Between Botox injections and wild events in the lavish venues of the “OC” there is still plenty of room for drama. The women cannot help but find themselves gossiping over wine and eventually starting cat fights that will certainly be forgotten by the next episode, or the next inevitable
The show is centered around the lives of the Kardashian family as they juggle family and fame. Although the content will be tailored to make the family seem more dramatized, these people experience some of the same struggles as regular people. Sibling rivalries, outfit trouble, and self-hate/love are everyday struggles that everyone, regardless of social class, will experience. Although the Kardashians have many moral issues and are the show is generally cringe-inducing, they do constantly show that family is everything. From Kim’s constant change of boyfriends to Kourtney’s disputes with the father of her child to Rob coming back into the family, they are quick to band together against a common enemy and will forgive easily when being questioned about their love for each other. “While some of the antics […] are just for entertainment, the connection […] is something genuine”
The Kardashians have definitely made a name for themselves, but most people associate that name with being bad influences. Sure the origins of their fame is questionable at best, stemming from Kim’s short film and their father defending a most likely guilty man. However, just because their beginning was less than ideal doesn’t mean that they are bad people now or undeserving of their fame. For instance in their show, they talk about a lot of important topics in the modern world like gun control and anxiety and expose the younger audience and the public in general to real issues in a fun and informal setting. Yes, most of the “information” on their show is very much sensationalized with drama and fighting, but nevertheless it at least opens a dialogue. Despite their differences and the
Family is made up of both strengths and stresses. Families cannot have one of these factors without the other. Even the most dysfunctional families have some strengths that keep them united, while the most united families have some stress. Let’s take the Kardashian for example. When Kim Kardashian West was robbed of her jewelry worth nearly 9 million dollars, while that’s a big stress how her husband Kanye West reacted and walked off the stage in the middle of concert in Queen to check on her when he heard his wife has been robbed is a strength, it shows how they have a bond that could last.

Over the last few decades celebrity and fame has changed dramatically, from Alexander the Great to Kim Kardashian.
