The Issue Of Abortion

Abortion is when a developing fetus or embryo is removed from the mother’s womb before it can survive on its own. This can be done by chemical or physical means. Some women terminate their pregnancy late or within the first 28 weeks of their pregnancy . For those who choose to have an abortion is a very emotional issue. This is and always has been a ferocious debate. Lots of people tend to disagree and agree on when life begins. Some would say abortion is no different than murder.
The american convention on human rights, which in 2013 had 23 Latin American parties, declared human life begins at the moment of conception.
Abortion has been a scientific controversial matter in many societies through time religious, moral. ethical, practical and

political grounds. Abortion has been banned and limited by law in different parts of the world. It is still common in many areas, even where it is illegal. The number of world wide abortions is declining. This is due to the people having more access to contraceptives. Also education plays a prominent role. Two thirds of the world’s women live where abortions can be obtained on request. This can be because of personal, social or economic reasons. The abortion law varies by region. Seven countries in Latin America and Europe abortions are banned completely. Women who live in Canada can receive an abortion without any legal restrictions. In Ireland it’s only done if a woman's life is at imminent risk. In Chile even if a woman’s life is in danger an abortion still won’t be granted.
In some religions such as the Catholic church, Eastern Orthodox, are against the whole idea of abortions. They believe that they are immoral and awfully wrong with God. If someone of these religions received an abortion then they will be shunned and will not be able to take any sacrements.
The 1972 supreme court case Roe vs Wade was a case about women and their rights to get an abortion. At the end Roe won and granted women the permission to receive an abortion only in the 28 year span. Roe vs. Wade prompted a national debate that continues today. The pressing issue including whether, and to what extent, abortion should be legal, The Court issued its decision on January 22, 1973, with a 7-to-2 majority vote in favor of Roe. Although the Roe vs. Wade 1972 supreme court cause legalize abortion In certain parts of georgia abortion is illegal. In the state of Georgia it requires parental consent unless it's an emergency in the case to save the life of a mother if the mother is under age . An unlawful abortion will be a 50000 dollar fine and/or imprisonment for up to 5-10 years. In seven states abortion is illegal Texas, Mississippi, North and South Dakota, Louisiana, Kansas and others. In cases of rape it is legal and it will be granted. In sum, because of the Roe vs. Wade supreme court cause abortions in some parts of Georgia are allowed. In case of extreme circumstance it's ok.
