Communicating by email is not only cost effective; it is also timely allowing a business to be in constant contact with their clients while also performing other tasks. Previous forms of contacting a client included direct mailing and telephone conversations. The problem with the written letter was the time involved. The letter would have to be mailed and then a couple days would go by before the letter was delivered. Telephone communication was a little quicker, however, only if the person was in the office. Today, communication is kept in our pockets. A great majority of individuals have smartphones where they can call and receive calls, check email and instant message responding quickly and accordingly.
