Internet is a valuable tool for learning both socially and educationally, but there are dangers associated with it. Children and young people knowingly or unknowingly may expose themselves to potential dangers when using the internet and other technologies. One of the major risks facing the children and young people while using the internet is the exposure to unwanted or inappropriate materials. These materials could be pornographic, hateful messages that encourage radicalization, and information that is violent in nature. Cyber bullying may take different forms such as spreading lies about a person, hate messages and to some extent life-threatening message on young people and making nasty comments on the young people profiles on social media. Cyber bullying is different from school bullying because the teachers have no ability to intervene.
