Defined by McEwan (2003), a Change Master is a highly effective principal who is flexible and futuristic. A realistic leader who is able to both motivate and manage change in an organized, positive, and enduring fashion. As a Change Master, she uses a situational approach since every school community requires somewhat different skills. Leaders need to be able to respond to the individual throughout the change process. School Leadership that Works In School Leadership that Works, Marzano introduces twenty-one responsibilities of a school leader (see Appendix A). These leadership responsibilities are used in the two change orders discussed by Marzano, McNulty and Waters (2005).

In conclusion, transactional and transformational leadership can be merged or used individually depending on various circumstances. However, they are partially correlated. In order to make the best use and get the desirable results out of these principles, leaders should attain a deep understanding of each theory as they are dissimilar in conducting. This study aims to determine the impact of leadership styles on job satisfaction and job commitment. Falokun (2016) surveyed middle school teachers in South Texas, concluding the analysis of the data “suggested a statistically significant positive relationship between job satisfaction and transformational leadership style” (p. 140). There was no relationship between transactional or passive leadership styles and job satisfaction. Leithwood (1992) concluded transformational leadership increases teacher collaboration, while transactional leadership has little influence on teacher change. However, these results were again “quite limited” (p. 12). The weak relationships repeatedly found between leadership style and teacher job satisfaction may be the result of attempting to analyze large groups of teachers, typically by school, rather than accounting for individual preferences.
