"Smart work is better than a Hard work." This statement has always helped me in accomplishing my milestones in a better way. The output which I get through smart work is better than the one through hard work. This same statement is now leading me towards the idea what if machines start working smartly which can be certainly achieved by Machine Learning. There can be a huge revolution in the field of technology.

USB Potable Mobile Charger being very handy and small in size was used to charge mobile phones anytime and anywhere. Automatic Night Light was a device consisting of a bulb. It used to sense the intensity of surrounding light using Light Detecting Resistor (LDR) and glow a bulb automatically if there was no surrounding light and vice versa. Door Alarm was a device which was made using a buzzer and a reed switch, for the functioning of Door Alarm it had to be attach to a closed door. This in turn, used to buzz when the closed door was suddenly opened by anyone which can be useful to anyone for security …show more content…
For instance, I had an idea of using the Automatic Night Light in the residential of places of my vicinity where there is a shortage of electricity. Therefore, I decided to be a part of Co-Committee of National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of my college. I participated in various social service activities conducted by NSS Unit one of them was to teach the usage of computers and basic applications in various government schools. Furthermore, because of the past experiences and my interests in technical field I got selected for the post of Co-Technical Head in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter of my college. This not only provided me with a platform to utilize my knowledge and experience for the various activities involved in ACM Student Chapter but also gave me an opportunity to learn many new things. In third year, noticing my skills and dedication I was then selected for the post of Technical Head in ACM. The various activities for ACM in this course of time involved conducting few technical workshops and seminars on cloud computing, web development, software development, etc.; also making of various attractions for workshops using LEDs and
Everyone grows up with a dream, but everyone will not get the opportunity to do so, being born in the financial situation of their family. In third world countries people struggle to make money on a daily basis. These people want more than what they have, but to attain those extra luxuries, they have to sacrifice their current possessions. This is not possible in as sacrificing what they have can lead to starvation. They want a better future but they need to be able to live on a daily basis. It is called investment in the future vs temporary happiness. Attaining security requires risking one’s belongings to earn liberty and equality in the future. Although temporary contentment must be sacrificed to attain security in life, it must be one’s
Despite the negative portrayal of AI in popular fiction, the evidence overwhelmingly supports the benefits that machines bring; automation creates new opportunities for human ingenuity. Our desire to develop increasing complex and intelligent machines is indeed led by the desire to improve our lives; to live healthier and longer lives, to explore the
To begin, the main issue of development of Artificial Intelligence is the economic factors. Firstly, one of the main negative effects of AI on economy is unemployment. According to the suggesting of Carl Benedikt Frey and Michael A. Osborne of Oxford University during next 20 years 47 per cent of all USA jobs under the threat and will be replaced with intelligence machines (Vincent). If jobs will be automated, people will lose their workplaces and it is becomes one of the harmful problems not only for economy, but also for society. Because, if people will not have a workplace, they will not be able to provide their needs. Furthermore, development of AI can be a reason of increasing inequality of wages. For instance, the salaries of computer workers approximately earn 10 to 15 percent more than others. (Frey and Osborne). It is also one of the economic problems because it can lead to discontent of workers who hav...
In school, I have participated in two I.T. competitions with the Royal Bank of Scotland, the first of which provided a solution to Macintosh emulation on the Amiga platform, and this year, I am leading a team of five pupils to design a network solution and website for the new school here in Ullapool. I was also marketing director of a Young Enterprise team, gaining a credit pass in the exam, and producing a tourist brochure that has been a commercial success. I found that an invaluable learning experience due to the teamwork involved. I have also attended the Air Training Corps for two years, am currently a Senior cadet corporal and attained a credit pass in the recent exam..
Hard Work; a dreaded but vital step to becoming a great student. Working hard and practicing is the only way to become a successful student and anyone can work hard to make their dreams come true if they chose to take the extra step. As our research into science and technology ever increases its seems inevitable that in the near future Artificial Intelligent machines will exist and become part of our everyday life such as we see with modern computers today.
Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.
I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. I am fully acquainted with the fast growing subjects like Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating world of experimentation. It was here that I discovered the qualities of perseverance and diligence in myself. I feel that these courses have done a lot to prepare me for my future studies and research work.
Artificial intelligence makes life more convenient and efficient through improving machine’s ability to perceive its environment and taking actions for certain goals.
Way back in 1965, technologist Herbert Simon stated that, “Machines will be capable, within 20 years, of doing any work a man can do” (Vardi, 2012). Nearly fifty years later, this world has been impacted by artificial intelligence (AI) equipped technologies in major ways. The threat of AI equipped computer systems and machinery taking jobs away from humans is becoming a harsh reality (Vardi, 2012). As with every innovative technology there are positive and negative externalities involved.
AI is used to help alleviate the difficulties faced by humans in their day-to-day work. Artificial intelligence causes a huge impact on the different aspects of people’s lives and on the different fields in the industry.
Humans can expand their knowledge to adapt the changing environment. To do that they must “learn”. Learning can be simply defined as the acquisition of knowledge or skills through study, experience, or being taught. Although learning is an easy task for most of the people, to acquire new knowledge or skills from data is too hard and complicated for machines. Moreover, the intelligence level of a machine is directly relevant to its learning capability. The study of machine learning tries to deal with this complicated task. In other words, machine learning is the branch of artificial intelligence that tries to find an answer to this question: how to make computer learn?
Computers and Technology have fascinated me right from my childhood and I have always had it in my mind to choose Information Technology for my engineering. As the years passed my eagerness grew and so did my thirst to attain higher education and now is the perfect time for me to ignite the spark in me. This has given me the courage to analyze the fact that I have a herculean task ahead in order to comprehend an extensive proportion of subject and enjoy it while assimilating the problems.
Smartness is not an inborn attribute, it must be attained. Unlike intellect, which is inherent and unique per individual, smartness requires oneself to gain experiences through the interactions and events that take place between oneself and society. Those experiences form the basis of an individual’s behavioral process to learn, therefore, smartness grows as more learning takes place. In Karen Ho’s “Biographies of Hegemony”, Wall Street forms an established system where the highly praised and well-institutionalized Ivy Leagues are targets for their recruiting process. Their goal is to persuade college students, no matter their background, to pursue a career that involves finance, thus shifting the societal view of what success is within the
