What is quality management?
Quality management is an important aspect of project management. The importance of quality management within project management is essential for project and organizational success so much so, that Kloppenborg & Petrick (2002) converge the two practices into the concept of project quality management. Without implementing quality management practices, organizations would not flourish in today’s global economy of increasing consumer demand for high quality products. Quality management therefore leveraged with project management processes ensures that deliverables of projects will meet a preferred level of quality based on a defined set of requirements (Wallace, 2016). This aspect of quality management includes defining and agreeing upon the standards pertinent to the project and the processes in order to meet the standards for each phase of the project (Bobera & Trninic, 2006). During quality management planning, it is critical to ensure that the scope, budget and timeframe of the project are adapted in order to ensure that all of the stakeholders needs are met in terms of acceptable levels of quality.
Quality assurance. This aspect of quality management ensures that the tasks being completed on the project are being completed so as to meet the standards that were set in the planning phase (Bobera & Trninic, 2006). Project monitoring and controlling are the processes in which the project manager tracks and analyzes performance on project activities to ensure that the project is on (1) time (2) budget and (3) the project is meeting the deliverables in relation to the projects objectives. (Sheen, 2012). Within these processes, project managers can use a variety of different tools and methods to track and analyze the performance of a project and help determine whether or not a project is meeting the needs of the stakeholders, time and budget. Quality management should be incorporated into these processes through quality assurance and quality control aspects of quality management. While quality management should span throughout the entirety of the project, during monitoring and controlling processes, quality assurance and quality control aspects will assist in warranting that a set of standards are being followed, so that the projects deliverables will meet the defined set of

The main area of study selected for this study is ethics and the application of one of its principles, i.e. values in project management framework and it is evident from the conclusions of different studies used for this paper. All in all, after the comprehensive search results, 48 outcomes were realized and out of these 48 outcomes, only 10 were finally found to be actually relevant to the theme of this study.
