No one can go a day without lying. Lying has become such an integral part of society some people feel they should protect others from it. Some people are afraid of the truth and cannot own up to it. The only way to deal with it is to lie and hide it from them. Lying is done by politicians, businessmen, your parents and teachers. Everyone in society lies, but it is important. There are different types of lies and each is important for its own reason and protects society. There is White Lies, Groupthink, and Delusions. Each of these types of lies protect people.
A white lie is something everyone has done. Its when you use a small lie to protect someone from being hurt by the truth. I remember one time when my friend showed me are really ugly jacket. He said he got one and it costed like $100. When he showed it to me I didn’t want to tell him it was ugly because he would not agree with my opinion and he might even get mad at me for saying that. I just told him the jacket was nice and avoided talk about the jacket. Each day in every coutry or, community lies are told and they help lots of people. Lying makes it easier to deal with things. Even filtering your thoughts is a form of lying because you are not speaking what you believe completely. It’s ingrained into us from the very start of our lives. These 3 types of lies, white lies, groupthink, and delusion are used too keep society running. People in power may tell white lies to maintain friendship so they can benefit the community.
