Electric Daisy Carnival: Under The Electric Sky
What if I told you, you could escape the real world to a magical dream world for three days! Yes three beautiful days¬–– full of great vibes and fire blasted music with a magical stunning view of beautiful lights. Thousands of people around you: jumping, cheering, and dancing their heart outs with they’re friends and new people by just one simple dj preforming his music to you. How great is that. You will not find anything as visually stunning as the stages of EDC, especially at Kinetic Field the biggest stage of all.
Electronic Daisy Carnival is a place where everybody comes together as one to experience Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. A place where nobody judges you and you could release your
My point is you will be seeing people being overdosed of drugs regardless of age at any festival you go. Fortunately Electric Daisy Carnival is now 18 and up, so for anything that happens to that person, is on them. Although the age requirement is eighteen and up, you can expect a thorough search from the security if you look suspicious. There isn’t any improvement of the drugs, since EDC drugs are widespread and also how for some people the drugs is part of the EDC culture. People might think EDC is the cause of drug overdose. The deaths that have been falsely connected to raves were due to drug overdoses, not because of something the music festival did. These festivals have strict entry pat-downs and searches to check the people who attend if they bring illegal substances. In my opinion Drug use is an individual choice, and the music festivals should not be the blame for the choices that people make in their events once they have done their usual protocol of drug search. One thing you should be concern about if you’re ever going to EDC is the prices. Paying the hotel in Vegas, a ticket to the festival, meals, drinks and transportation makes it expensive, but completely worth it and to be honest it’s a fair price. Tickets are 400 dollars of maximum, but you can get the early bird, which is 375 dollars in total including fee and for VIP its 800 dollars in total. Some hotels you could stay during EDC would be: Circus Circus Las Vegas, Bellagio, The Mirage, Paris Hotel, Delano Las Vegas Hotel and so many more. Most Hotels are 21+ so for the people who aren’t twenty-one, I recommend Bellagio since it’s the best gorgeous hotel I can think of. The food in EDC is expensive as well, but the water is free. EDC allows free water refills at a variety of stations throughout the venue. There are different types varieties of food trucks present
Ten minutes after lining up, I went inside the nightclub. From the door, I could hear the song and the beat of the bass so loud that my heart could feel it. Inside the nightclub, I saw people were dancing everywhere, on dancing floor, on their own seats, everywhere. They would dance and take a big gulp of their beer. Even the bartenders were dancing too, following the rhythm of the loud funky music. The rainbow rays of light moved through the club to make the mood even more exciting and funky.
Ecstasy is mostly one of the drugs that they want to push the legalization use of it. Many people outside of raves think it would still be a horrible idea to include ecstasy at raves due to the effects of what the drug does. People who attend raves said that they should wear bracelets and sell the drug to people over the age of 21. The problem with that is many people have health issues and they just ignore the fact that the drug can cause serious injuries or damage the brain. Ecstasy has a lesser rate of death and overdose issues, but probably would not happen. If it were to happen they should the limit or the usage of the drug so people would not over dose or cause a lot of health issues. Raves should allow a health of the people who is going when they purchase the tickets and should be prepared of what they are doing and what is going to happen. (“Drug
Compared to all the other concerts that I have gone to, the Ron Eschete Trio concert was a definite change in atmosphere. On February 23, 20001 I attended a concert held at Ahmnson Building in Los Angeles County Museum of Art, featuring Ron Eschete on seven string guitar, Todd Johnson on six string bass, and Paul Humphrey on drums. It was three hours long, from 5:30 to 8:30. I arrived there little late because it said to be held on times mirror central court but it was actually playing at lower level of Ahmnson Building.

Despite having many issues and being a disaster economically, environmentally, and legally, Woodstock ‘69 is still among the most influential events of the twentieth century. The concert had a lot of success socially and had an everlasting effect on society and music. It Woodstock ‘69 was one of the largest musical gatherings of hippies and freaks, people that considered themselves to be part of the counterculture society that morally rejected the views of society at the time, that had many successes, as well as many disasters. It is questioned whether Woodstock was really such an influential event or not. It had an incredible amount of problems with it, which has caused some people to question whether it is deserving of all the accolades it
Woodstock is known worldwide for being one of the most important events in music history. Like moths to a flame, a unique assortment of people from all over the world traveled to the United States, New York City, in August of 1969 to hear their favorite artists perform for 3 days. Incredible performers such as Jimi Hendrix and Blood, Sweat and Tears captivated their audience which have now since only become classic moments in their careers, but have also become representative snapshot of american culture at the time. Woodstock was the outcome of of a partnership between John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfeld and Michael Lang. Their overall goal was to make enough money to to build a recording studio in Woodstock which at the time was a
Woodstock music festival was birthed in August of 1969 on a farm in Bethel, New York. The festival promoted three days of nonstop music and peaceful atmospheres. What was once an impactful historical event later became a part of American pop culture that still influences modern cultures today. Over the years, Woodstock has become a permanent symbol for cultural social changes.
After losing the Civil War, the entire demeanor of the South had changed. The South prior to the Civil War was focused on Southern charm, delicate women, huge plantations and gluttonous wealth. Once the Southerners lost the war, they were forced to face the stark reality of their grotesque system of slavery and the lack of Southern wealth and outward civility. Tennessee Williams illustrates the loss of the Southern culture in many of his works. In his play, A Streetcar Named Desire, Tennessee Williams illustrates through the contrasting settings of Bell Reve and Elysian Fields that it is horrific that one must conform to the new norm of society in order to survive.
Woodstock had many effects on the counter culture around it. Some historic events covered in this paper include the Stonewall riots, the landing of Apollo 11 on the moon, and the murders of the Manson family. The outbursts of emotion coming from the public started to die down and disintegrate after the festival. Many said this mutism was a result of Woodstock coming to an end. Of course they didn’t call Woodstock “3 Days of Peace and Music” for nothing.
The chapter begins with the Genesis of what begun the influential disparities in carnival. The reintroduction of the middle and upper class citizens or settlers into the street mascaraed, because of colonization of Trinidad and Tobago by the British. With it, they came with their European values and embarked on removing the heavily misunderstood traditions and symbolisms of African culture. This would have been compounded by the already preconceived stereotype about the uneducated, violent, vulgar, aggressive nature of the African. This was done as an attempt to keep the classes and races from interaction with each
Imagine that you are at a concert, it’s all well and good. At least the music’s nice. Now imagine that you are in a much bigger concert, one with half a million people in it. Welcome to the Woodstock Concert: 3 days of peace and music. Woodstock was a concert in the sixties that brought so many people they couldn’t keep track of all of them. This and many more points is what makes Woodstock a special point in history. Points like how everyone wanted to go, how it shows a slice of life in the sixties, and how it remembered in history.
...resses of everyday life, or looking to have a fun time/experience, EDM festivals can provide a place to feel “free” and be happy.
Music cannot be felt or understood unless you experience it in person. You wouldn’t hear the same song through headphones as you would in a live concert. For this reason, I attended a live music concert to better understand the importance of music and apply what I learned in my introductory music course to the performance. I attended a recital of original compositions by Taiwanese composers that had arrangements of Taiwanese folk songs. It took place on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, in the Art Gallery of Marlboro Hall. The three Taiwanese performers were Shu-Ting Yao, Huai-En Tsai, and Yufen Chou. The music they performed was The Temple and Religious Procession by Ma Shui-Long, Formosan Dance by Jiang Wen-Ye, Mong by Wei-Ling Chen, and an arrangement
Clutching the letter I had received only 2 weeks prior, I paused outside Nonno Montresor’s my palazzo. My fingers traced the scrawled ink of a letter from my grandfather. His shaky handwriting indicated that with time he was growing weak, and I knew that I had made the right decision to see him. I reread his request, “I perceive your university closes for the holiday and it would be of great pleasure if you could come see me” hoping this would not be the last time I would see him. My grandfather had always been introvert, reserved and modest with no desires. He had been helping with my education since I lost my father when I was still very young. He had a bizarre sense of nature. I could recall numerous times when he woke up abruptly at the middle of the night with a loud sound of cry only to stare at the vacant wall for several hours. Upon asked what the matter was, he simply would reply, “Nothing, really. Frances, would you mind getting me a glass of Oloroso?” He was a connoisseur of wines. I shuffled the letter into my left hand: my forefinger pinning the envelope, the bottle my hand already held. Using my right hand, I delicately knocked on the faded yellow door, recalling myself as a young boy who barged right in. After several moments, my grandfather swung the door open, ushering me inside.
