The key element in attracting tourist arrivals to Malaysia are Malaysians practicing racial unity. Racial solidarity among Malaysians would attract tourists from outside the country to see for themselves the practice of racial unity which is the holding of every Malaysian. It is implicitly to introduce the beauty of Malaysia to the outside in turn raise the country's name. Therefore, it is natural Malaysians to practice unity as well as to attract tourists, a combination also could increase the country's name, as the saying goes, "while diving drinking water". In addition, by practicing unity, we can also develop the national economy. When unity is practiced by Malaysians, economic oppression will not happen because each race will compete fairly without the slightest feeling of jealousy in them. For example, the prevailing competition in the business world. Not only that, when people practice the proverb, "united we stand, divided we fall," people would also be able to jointly develop the national economy. National security can be enhanced even when the practice of racial unity has seeped into the psyche of every Malaysian. As we know, without unity, peace could not be established because the people will fight among themselves so that destroy the security of a country that has built it. Disputes that occur between people just will generate a lively atmosphere disruptive. As a result, true unity is essential to enhance the security of the
Achieving unity within a country is the most fundamental and central goal of a nation. In order for a county to unite, they must first achieve unification in what values they hold to be important. They also need to be in accordance with one another as to how the country works and how they wish to be governed. These factors help create a region's identity and make it different from areas around it. It is a goal most difficult to accomplish due to the discrepancies between cultures, religions, personal beliefs and many other factors that may exist in that area.
Human Service Professionals will work with clients which have all different types of cultural backgrounds. Part of the responsibilities of the human service professional is to learn about the culture through research as well as through asking the client questions so they are aware of the client’s culture. Throughout this paper the following will be discussed African American culture, laws that impact a cultural group; how laws can affect the clients we will be working with, what represents a good and bad law, why multiculturalism and diversity are important for Human Services, and understanding global perspectives in cross-cultural work. I chose to discuss African American culture because the area that I will be moving to has a larger population
Humans are a stereotypical lifeform. Disregarding all backgrounds and cultures, humans are constantly categorizing others subconsciously and blatantly. Due to past experiences and social observations, I have come to the realization that there is a way in which humans are taught how different societies define differences among different people and this is way that varies from culture to culture.
It is the tremendous process of nurturing and fostering tranquility so that this fragile bond does not crumple at the first touch. Often so man would take for granted this amicable relationship as he believes that is will sustain itself on its own. However, that is quite the opposite. Take for example in Malaysia, after achieving independence on 31st August 1957, Malaysians thought that they would be free from being colonized, free from wars and suffering, only to be plagued by the political and racial issues among themselves. Inevitably so, there was a Sino-Malay sectarian violence in Kuala Lumpur resulted in deaths of hundreds of Malaysians. Thus, it is no doubt that both parties must willing to collaborate together despite the difference in social backgrounds, races, beliefs and religions. The maintenance of tranquility is a discrete yet tremendously significant step to prevent history from repeating

One problem that affected my family pretty deeply was diversity issues when they both started working in their careers. My mom and dad both started out in their careers working for Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). “The treatment of Native Americans, Asians, African Americans and Hispanics by California Anglos has been characterized by systematic and individual violence at worst, and consistent political, economic, and social discrimination at best” (DeBow, pg. 238) During the start of their careers, my mom and dad faced difficult challenges, a lot of racism and bullying. My mom would be bullied by her boss and I remember she would complain on a weekly basis of her boss treating her poorly and embarrassing her in front of other employees, until one day her boss moved on to another job. Meanwhile, my dad was bullied by other employees and was constantly being picked on, calling my dad with racial slurs and treating him with a hazing-like mentality. It was brutal, but they both persevered in a way I have never seen to this day. They stuck it out like true champions, but it was a time in their life where they really had only each other. My mom continued to stay, while my dad left for an even better job, thus with City and County. Diversity is still an issue today because I still hear from my dad that he witnesses diversity issues in the workplace.
As individual thinks the world to be diverse, often we take for granted unknown cultures. At times, most minority cultures is view as one thing whereas the ethnicity is multifaceted. Historically we used assumptions, not evidence, to equate cultures with social identities (Handwreker, 2002, p107. Society usually dismissed individuality of cultural and tend to put everyone with similar background in the same category. Recognition cos ethnic group has to rely on each other to voice out opinion on the matter and educated the history of personal culture.
Lastly, but most importantly, understanding the culture and its background provides a valuable insight and an ‘umbrella theme’ of a country. According to Geert Hofstede’s Cultural dimensions, Malaysia has one of the highest power distance index in the world, with one of the lowest uncertainty avoidance index. It is highly related to the beliefs of Islam and this creates a society where leaders have virtually ultimate power and authority, and the rules, laws, and regulations developed by those in power, reinforce their own leadership and control. It is not unusual for new leadership to arise from armed insurrection – the ultimate power, rather than from diplomatic or democratic change .

Q: Since gaining independence in 1957, which social cleavages have been important in shaping the identities of political parties in Malaysia?
The relationship and cooperation in handling the issue in Southern Thailand between Malaysia and Thailand government since a long time ago, has become disappointed, frustration and unsatisfied. This is might be best description that has been looked up since the working relations between past Thai governments and their Malaysian counterparts was comes to Southern Thailand (Thanet, 2013). For the Thailand government, cooperation with the Malaysian authorities is really needed while in dealing with the separatist insurgents that often to the slip across the porous border from Thailand. Meanwhile, for the Malaysian side, through the sharing of same ethnicity and Islamic religion in the Southern Thai Muslims, was means that their politicians ought to have a key role to play in understanding and resolving insurgency issues in Southern Thailand. Therefore, it might can be seem in logically think that, without the help by the Malaysian government, the issues that regards to Muslim separatist moments in the Deep South would be difficul...

The class activity was simple: draw a self-portrait. As Ms. Caldera began to look through her students' work, one stood out to her. The drawing was of a young fair-skinned, blond-hair, and blue-eyed girl. Normally this would not be a problem, but in this case it was. The girl who had drawn herself was actually quite the opposite: rich dark skin, brown hair, and brown eyes (Caldera). Considering that the United States is such a large melting pot of cultures, it is normal for children to have difficulty balancing between two cultures. Culture, is really important for a child's development because it ultimately influences their morals and values. Although it is difficult for children to balance the traditions and such of two cultures, they are recompensed with a greater knowledge about the world, and understanding of people.
Without unity, sovereignty and independence of the country will be lost in a blink of eyes. One of the initiatives in maintaining harmony in a multiracial society is depending on an individual's attitude. This is because the prosperity of a community generally depends on the individual. Each individual should tolerates and respects each other in order to nourish harmony within the society. Every citizen must inculcates moral values in their daily lives. With the pure-practitioner attitude within the community in Malaysia, the life of multi-racial society will always in peace and harmony. For example, we can held an open house to celebrate festivals like Chinese New Year. We should not chase away a neighbor even though they are not of the same religion. We should invite more friends and family to celebrate the festival together without taking the consideration of the differences and
In my readings, I have agreed with the term for culture in the book?? Cultural Diversity?? written by Jerry V. Filled. It states that "One 's culture becomes one?s paradigm, defining what is real and what is right.? in other words culture is taught to children by family it is a variety of learned behaviors, beliefs, values, traditions etc. All of which help shape a person and is a huge portion of who they are.
