With the recent Canadian Federal Election, there has been a wide range of biased, misinformed posts on social media. These posts often tend to lead to heated discussions and debate. By interpreting the accuracy of the information portrayed, as well as the context of the situation, including personal opinion, we can develop an understanding of the use of rhetoric and discourse by individuals in regards to the political debate. In addition to this primary source, a variety of articles that discuss the use of rhetoric on social media, as well as the use of social media in a political context, will be addressed.
