Recommended: An essay on the hobbit
TITLE: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Many people get that amazing feeling when you accomplish something multiple times or experience it for the first time. Maybe it is only one specific time it has happened, and you search for many ways to feel that feeling again. For the first time, I watched the movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, directed by Peter Jackson. This film was based on the fantasy book, The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. The movie is a perfect example of what obstacles you have to go through and the fears you have to defeat to accomplish what you want. Peter Jackson, demonstrates in the movie, that sometimes it is just a mental block, or a little voice in your head that you need to ignore. The Hobbit, takes place in the Middle Earth in 2941 to 2942. Bilbo, the twelve Dwarves, Thorin, and Gandalf are all on a journey to Lonely Mountain to claim the the treasure. Bilbo Baggins, is played by Martin Freeman. Bilbo, was the …show more content…
The group of people who would like this movie would be ones who have strong morals and values and enjoy fantasy. People who enjoy geeky things like Trolls, Elves, Goblins, Dwarves and etc, this movie would be great to watch. There are some battles, but it is not all bloody and gory, which most people like. If you are into battles, or wars that are bloody and gory, this movie would not be something you would want to watch and you would think is boring. Also, others who are not strong about morals or their values, I would not recommend this movie for them to watch. The MPAA rating of this movie is PG-13, because of some of the battle parts, and there is some alcohol and drugs in it. There are also some frightening and intense scenes. My final word on this movie, is that it was really good and I would recommend it to a lot of people and I would like to watch it
J.R.R Tolkien's action packed, fantasy driven, inspiring novel The Hobbit shows the message that everyone must know, that you should never give up even if all hope seems to be lost. It shows setting of evergreen forests with villages scattered along the paths of which they must take and mountains just on the horizon. The read must go along with bilbo baggins a hobbit that does not realize there is more to him than just being a baggins and that he will live up to his family's name. Even after gandalf tells him that he will embark on a great adventure he still doesn’t believe he is anymore than just bilbo. Therefor this story is inspiring and shows that with the setting, character, and theme combined make this story a great read.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien is a magnificent menagerie of nearly every form of figurative language and continues to impress the millions who discover his work. The Hobbit is one of the greatest epitomes of sophisticated yet riveting work brought to life by utilizing similes, metaphors, imagery, and symbolism in the book. In each of his illustrious works, Tolkien bestows a particular personality and The Hobbit, especially, is no exception.
Bilbo Baggins, the son of predictable Bungo Baggins and adventurous Belladonna Took, begins his journey in the Shire, in his comfortable hobbit-hole (Tolkien 29-31) . Bilbo enjoys the comforts of his hobbit-hole more than anything
The Hobbit in the movie ‘The Hobbit’ by J.R.R Tolkien, the protagonist, Bilbo Baggins, displaying a hero’s journey starting as a weak and cowardly person with no knowledge of the world outside his comfort zone. As a trilogy the movie only follows part of the hero’s journey to the ORDEAL.
I hope that people can make the right decision for their kids and only show them this movie if they fully understand the meaning of the Salem Witch Trials and why it was such a tragic time. This is the only complaint I have to make towards the movie. Overall, this movie was exciting. It has lots of important information about the Salem Witch Trails. The director of this movie knew exactly who his audience would be and hit it out of the park by adding things that the audience would understand.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Dir. Peter Jackson. By Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Guillermo Del Toro, and J.R.R Tolkien. Perf. Martin Freeman, Ian McKellan, and Richard Armitage. 2012. DVD.
...r . Despite being dark and all the fighting and destruction , it is a Disney movie which means this film suits both young people and matures . This is a great poster because , it gives all the information that people needs to decide wheter watch a movie or not .
The Hobbit, written by John R. R. Tolkien, is a fantasy novel published on September 21, 1937. It was written as a prelude to the famous series, The Lord of the Rings, written seventeen years later. The Hobbit introduces the reader to an incredibly immersive fantasy world, that enriches the reader into its epic storyline. The story takes place in a land called Middle-earth, a land filled with enchanting surprises and magical wonders. It was the perfect playground for Tolkien to develop his main character Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo Baggins was a small hobbit, who unaware in the beginning would become a large role in the plot. It is through this character that Tolkien implemented the theme of heroism into the story. Bilbo’s unexpected adventure with the dwarves and the wizard gave him the opportunity to develop into the ultimate hero of Tolkien’s tale. Bilbo’s epic journey to become the hero of the story begins when Gandalf, the wizard, tells Bilbo of an expedition that would soon change his life forever.
...r, this movie is lack of depth of storyline. The audiences can even predict what will happen in the next scenes. Moreover, the ending of this movie is too cheesy and irrational according to me. If only they change the ending to become more interesting and rational, I will give a four or five stars out of five. In spite of a lame twist ending, this movie is a perfect example to show that managers should be able to motivate and challenge their employee. It is important to remember that a happy employee means a productive employee.
Perhaps this quest of self-discovering of Bilbo also reflects the trek everyone must also partake. The road to success is a combination of confidence, courage, love and support, and self-acceptance. Bilbo saves the dwarves multiple times, and accomplishes his task near the end of the book. This shows teens that good will come out of doing the right thing, and this will encourage them. Seeing and processing positive examples from the Hobbit will give teens the idea that doing the right thing is the most rewarding, and to not give up when confronted with difficulties in life. With careful readings and reflections, the Hobbit can motivate teens to make the right choices in life and inspire them to strive for success.
In the story of “The Hobbit”, each character takes on a specific characteristic. In each of these characters identity on the surface is decided more by their race, family and their past rather than anything else in the beginning of the story. By making definite choices each character comes to define their own fate and
For all you action junkies, this film is not worth your money or time. Having not watched many action films, the scene after scene of chaos has put me off completely. The two hours which looked like they were from a low budget movie puts millions of dollars to waste.
The Hobbit is a fantasy fiction book and the author is Tolkien. The main idea is how the hobbit, a small creature named Bilbo who is the main character, changes throughout the different adventures becoming an unlikely hero. In fact the hobbits themselves symbolize the modern middle class and therefore allow the reader to identify with the hobbits. The following paragraphs will describe the setting, the characterization, the theme and symbolism.
To conclude, "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" is among the best movies ever inspired by a video game. It does not include fight actions only, but also, the theme and the plot are well-written, creating a compact story. Although its rating PG-13 or intense sequences of violence and action, the fighting scene is not so violent compare to other action films. So I believe this film is generally accepted. Its action scenes and CGI sequence are nice. At the end of the adventure, justice stands and sacrifice worth. To be frank. Not many people are actions fans, but combined with a little romance and the positive messages brought out. It should be accepted by general and this film will definitely have a distinct evaluation.
