Introduction An organization must work as a team to an extent in order to accomplish the missions and goals of the agency. In addition, an agency’s leadership skills impact the productivity of the team. The organizational structure of a company is vital towards its success. Relationships within the organization impact the outcome of agency goals (Salehzadeh, 2017). Each agency has its own independent goals they work towards relative to their field of interest. For example, the goals of a social services agency will look different than the goals of a hospital workplace environment. The personality created by an organization begins with the history, moral, and working dynamics within the hospital. For example, if staff share common passions then it’s likely that hospital staff will collaborate as a team to achieve the goals relative to helping children and families. Hospital performance is systematic which may be illustrated through the achievement of set goals medically or goals set by managerial staff overseeing production from the top of command (Markazi-Moghaddam, Arab, Ravaghi, Rashidian, Khatibi, & Jame, S. Z. B, 2016). The organizational break down of Rady’s Children Hospital is as follows: president and CEO, chief medical officer, chief quality officer, senior vice presidents, doctors, nurses, administrative staff and volunteers. The hospital has a chain of command which creates the dynamics of having a hierarchy within the organization. As a result of the hierarchal system the bureaucratic aspects are enforced. Firstly, parents have to pay for parking when going to the hospital which becomes a financial burden for parents that are struggling. The cost of parking per day can reach up to thirty dollars a day with validation which becomes costly quickly. Especially when parents have a child that is admitted into the hospital for an inpatient surgery or treatment. Secondly, the hospital only has a couple of locations which are spread out over many miles between one another. The fact that there are not many locations it creates a gap in service as parents have to deal with extended wait times and overcrowding. As a result, this can create a disservice to families’ relative to the quality of care they receive. Some families may not want to go to any other hospital as their children may feel comfortable at Rady’s hospital since they may have a rapport with the doctors and healthcare professionals. Thirdly, the costs for services are challenging for families that do not have medical insurance. The hospital offers financial help to families though it is a selective process. Due to the fact the financial process is selective it creates a gap in service delivery as families may struggle to pay for services
