There is two characters which are Wilson and Gatsby they see that having a relationship is very important to them. Even though they are willing to die for whom they love In The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the characters Wilson and Gatsby are similar because both fight for their relationships and die for them, even though the ones they love won’t change, and therefore both characters show some people will do anything to prove their love for others. What Michaelis told the police what Wilson might be doing which was, “Supposed that he spent that time going from garage to garage thereabout inquiring for a yellow car”(Michaelis, pg160).this shows that Wilson fight for his love by trying to find who killed Myrtle so he can get revenge on the person that killed her. Gatsby fights for his relationship because he tells Jorden everything that he been doing just to get Daisy's attention. When Jorden and Nick was talking Nick thought it was a coincidence that they was close to each other, but Jorden tells him it's not because Gatsby bought that house on purpose so Daisy can see it and think of his wealth , “ Gatsby bought that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay”(Jorden,pg 78). This shows that Gatsby fights for his love for Daisy by spending a lot of money on her period to show his wealth. Overall by Gatsby and Wilson trying to keep their relationships, they show how they are similar
