Setting and Achieving Goals
For every task there is an objective, a specified target, and a time limit. When creating a plan for a task time frame is a very important piece of the project to keep in mind. If you don 't have a set time frame with objectives to complete slowly throughout the process then it becomes a very extensive task with a milestone (Maglio, Gollwitzer, & Oettingen, 2014). It is always of the best interest to set your specified target lines to ensure that you can execute in a critical manner. It is important for all members to set their own personal tasks as well as a group task to ensure that all objectives and goals are met. Importance of Developing Plans to Achieve Organizational Goals There are a couple of main keys to remember when setting and achieving your goals. When planning the first thing that is needed to keep in mind is that planning is based around objectives. When you set objectives for a team you push yourself to focus on the correct topics, which helps from straying onto topics that could hinder your ability to achieve your goals in the allotted time period. These plans are designed with an organization in mind and begin with the organization 's mission. The strategic plans are formulated based on an analysis of the current economical and market situations (Barnat, n.d.). Strategic plans are especially important when setting a long term goal or target. The strategic plan is planned those who influence resources and understand how a set of tactics work together, it is identifying and setting a vision. On the other hand tactical planning utilizes the resources to achieve the goals and support the vision. Those doing this type of planning face having to plan the usage of limited resources into actions to achieve a set of goals. I don’t think the two can really be separated, but rather they go hand in hand (Owyang).
No plan is perfect – no matter how well one thinks it out, there is always margin for error. A successful, well thought out plan consists of a solid primary plan, alternate means of achieving the goal and leeway to allow for mistakes.
The first philosophy “One Minute Goal Setting” makes tasks assigned to the individual clear and precise. The manager first expresses goals that need to be accomplished. Once an agreement is made, each goal is written down in 250 words or less. It is strongly held that it should take no more than a minute to read. You should reinforce each goal throughout the day. Also take time to look at your performance and see if your behavior matches your goals.
“Our plans miscarry because they have no aim. When a man does not know what harbor he is making for, no wind is the right wind” a famous quote about our goal by Seneca. It is a metaphor about the achievement goal and objectives by good planning skills. One has to plan for what one wants to achieve and where one wants to go. One of the most important things is to have good planning, before taking any project the first think you should do is to create project plan. Planning can be defined as preparing a sequence of action to achieve specific goals and objectives. According to Kerzner (2009), “project planning is desirable that the project manager is involved from project conception through execution. It must be systematic, flexible to handle, closely disciplined through reviews and control and capable of accepting multi functional inputs (pg. 412)”. The importance of planning a project is to describe the work so that it will be easily identifiable to the project team member.
Strategic Planning is looking at where you are now, knowing where you want to be in the future and planning the steps to get you there.
Strategic planning is a process wherein the company will allocate its resources and focus its priority in creating a strategy that will meet the company’s set goals according to its mission and vision or its future plans of evolving or expanding. This might involve change in processes or plans to make the operations of the company more efficient or improve the overall status of the company. The main focus is to make sure that everyone in the company and its stakeholders are focused towards common goals and there are a set of realistic and feasible results or expectations that could lead the company to being a better one. That way, once the strategic plan has been set and implemented, the success of it can be easily evaluated.

Without goal's you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and trouble finding a career that will provide for you. A person needs to achieve certain goals in one's life before you can call them successful. Success is to achieve goals, you have set. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. My professional goals in life are to find a good job that makes me happy, get a good education, find a job that makes enough money for me to support my family, and help people. Goals it is very important for me to receive a good education. Most job fields require a descent education. If I don't have an education I would not be able to function properly at the work place and I would not understand what to do. To maintain a good job that will make good money will require me to go thorough schooling or training and maybe even both. Education is the first and foremost way to become successful, because the job I will choose will need me go to school and maybe even beyond college. Many people tend to set goals. They can set goals for their personal life, academics, or even for their professional lives. You can literally set a goal for pretty much anything you can imagine. I believe that people should set goals, they help you stay focused and want to do better for the future. Goals change all of the time though, because of a lot of different reasons, maybe you found that one thing just really is not what you want to do with your life, so you find something else to do. To me that is just how life is, my goals will most likely change as I am getting older and trying to find what I want to do with the rest of my life.

Technology is a macroeconomic factor that is rapidly growing and changing. Technology has had positive effects all over across the globe to business organization and to individuals.
Name everything from who is involved to what, where, when and why you want to accomplish the goal. Your goal must be clear and well defined. Generalized goals are unhelpful because they don’t provide sufficient direction. Remember, you need the goals to show you the way.
