Winston Churchill the politician and journalist between 1874-1965. He was the prime minister of United Kingdom for two terms. As first time, he became the prime minister in a critical term; second world war. He was one of the leaders who could handle the WWII and bring victory for the UK and the whole world. Churchill’s leadership and his competence in writing and rhetoric not just made him famous and popular in the UK but, he also become more reputed in the world. Furthermore, he wrote and published many books and articles about his experiences and speeches during his life. One of Churchill’s important work is “The Gathering Storm, (The Second World War)” that contain of six book series about the history of WWII . He was also a war hero who
Churchill’s parents were socially active and educated; his father Lord Randolph Churchill was a British Duke who studied politic. Churchill’s mother, Jeanette Jerome was daughter of a wealthy family who was also well educated. Churchill first home was Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire but after a few years his family moved to Dublin, Ireland and Churchill’s father began his new work as secretary. Winston Churchill and his family reside in the Ireland for next four years until 1880 and then they moved back to the England. Churchill’s early life was not very bright, because he failed in many school’s subjects and consequently he got low grades. At that time, Winston was a robust boy and his hair colour was different, that’s why he always ridiculed by other student. Churchill’s nickname at his school was “Copper knob” because of his hair colour . These harassments and failures in school were not his only unhappy experiences in his childhood, in addition, the decease of his father in 1895 made everything complicated more than ever
This part of Winston’s life is the difficult part because he began his career as a military officer in 1893. Churchill became diligent and persistent in his tasks therefor he did not abdicate when he failed in the first and second entrance exam for the Royal Military College (RMC). At least, Churchill prepared himself for the third exam and he graduated with good result.
