Democrat Franklin Delano Roosevelt led the nation through the second world war. Roosevelt built a powerful wartime coalition with Britain and the Soviet Union, and led the U.S to victory against Nazi Germany. He was elected for presidency four times, serving from 1933 until his death in 1945. His wartime efforts prepared the path for Harry Truman, to win the war against Japan four months after his death. Winston Churchill was a British prime minister from 1940-1945. Churchill was a statesman, orator, and author, most importantly he was a great leader. He is best remembered for successfully leading Britain through World War II. He held authentic, and inspiring speeches in attempt to keep his country’s spirits up. In which he succeeded. Him invading Poland was one of the main causes of World War two. Eventually Germany was finally defeated in WWII, leaving them financially devastated, and politically unstable. Benito Mussolini wanted to try and delay a major war in Europe until at least 1942, but Germany invaded Poland in 1939. This means declarations of war by France and the UK and the start of WWII. When President Franklin Delano Roosevelt assumed the Presidency on March 4, 1933, he gained leadership of a deeply isolationist country struggling to survive a depression and yearning for change. When Roosevelt died twelve years and one month later, he had lifted the United States to world power status, provided recovery from economic depression, incorporated rhetoric as a means to reach the masses, and expanded the powers of the Presidency. In short, FDR had created the Modern Presidency. In conclusion, Winston Churchill was a confident and big achiever. His life started out bumpy but he knew his worth so he was able to overcome the challenges. Winston Churchill took on similar roles of his father but he did not have his support. He was able to explore and experience things that not everyone was able to do back in his time. Although some people did not want him to become a prime minister, he kept pushing to be the best. Two of his biggest achievements were becoming the Prime Minister of Britain and leading Britain to victory in World War II. His literary works caught a lot of people’s attention as well. Many people were able to purchase his famous book titled, “The Second World War”. He was praised by many people for his great achievements. Winston Churchill’s braveness and leadership is what made him successful.

He had a broad smile and was a charismatic optimist whose confidence helped sustain the nation through its darkest moments during crisis like the Great Depression and World War II. He became one of the most beloved of U.S. presidents for four terms in office. But beneath his outward friendliness was an inner reserve and an iron will. His admirers emphasized the way in which he met the nation's problems. They praised him for insisting that the federal government must help the underprivileged and that the United States must share in the responsibility for preserving world peace. Had the United States entered the war any earlier or later the consequences could have been much worse (If possible). Franklin Delano Roosevelt thought about the security of the republic and defended it very well. Leading the United States every step of the way President Roosevelt did a superior job in bringing America into war when he did. Evidently America entered World War 2 at the precise time to once and for all take down Adolph Hitler and the third Reich. The United States involvement in the war could not have come at a better time even though the effect on the people at Pearl Harbor and our country was seriously devastated.
Winston Churchill had many accomplishments during his life. He was a remarkable politician but also a great solider, speech writer, and artist. He was considered one of the best politicians and speech writers of both his time and ours. He was born into the upper class but was able to sympathize with the poor and working class too. Churchill was loved and respected by all. Of all his great accomplishments, Churchill was best known for his two terms as prime minister.

In the beginning Josef Stalin was a worshiper of his beloved Vladimir Lenin. He followed his every move and did as he said to help establish and lead the Bolshevik party. Much of the early part of his political career was lost due to his exile to Siberia for most of World War I. It wasn’t until 1928, when he assumed complete control of the country were he made most of his success. After Lenin’s death in January 1924, Stalin promoted his own cult followings along with the cult followings of the deceased leader. He took over the majority of the Socialists now, and immediately began to change agriculture and industry. He believed that the Soviet Union was one hundred years behind the West and had to catch up as quickly as possible. First though he had to seal up complete alliance to himself and his cause.
His main skill was being a great orator to the British nation encouraging them to do better. He gave great speeches in order to prepare the British for WW1. He also a brilliant military leader. His skills came from Sandhurst. Churchill was prime minister for a while since the British loved him so much. He became a huge part of the British government as the prime minister. Winston became chief architect in Allied Victory. Meaning he befriended FDR and became good allies with the United States. During WWII when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, Churchill was devastated yet happy because Britain was able to attack German because of the alliance which caused the Battle of the Britain. Also during WWII, FDR and Winston created an Atlantic Charter which was a meeting between the two outlining the Allied plans for peace at the end of WWII. Throughout his lifetime all Winston wanted was the greatness of his country and all of their allies. Churchill never gave up for the things that are right or for what he believed in. Adolf Hitler is a man who devoted his political career to the Nazi party. This delusional individual went from a simple soldier in the first world war to being the cause and waging the the second. HItler came to Germany when the country was in great need of hope. Struck by poverty as they needed still needed to pay France’s reparations, Germany was also hit by the great depression. This unfortunate mix destroyed its economy, with loads of debt to pay because of the treaty of versailles which ended the first world war German people needed a courageous leader.
