All four of them and some more received these calls except for one man, Sullivan, who lost his wife Giselle while he was in prison. Sullivan was in prison for a crime he didn't do, and the true convict was never found. Giselle died nine weeks before Sully's release from prison, and Jules, Sully's son still hasn't recovered from her mother's death. Jules, who was filled with sorrow from his mother's death, found hope of being able to talk to his mother on the phone as soon as he heard the calls from the news. Sully feels concerned every time Jules ask about calling his mom. Sully doesn't want Jules to be filled with false hope of his mother calling him.
