The Enemy Above Michael P Spradlin

The front cover of the book shows a young boy that is hiding underground to escape the Nazis. The back of the book talks about how a young boy named Anton has to hide from the nazi in underground tunnels. The author of The Enemy Above is Michael P. Spradlin. Most of Spradlin's work is written in the past and has zombies for characters. I believe that this story was written towards a younger audience because he wrote the book from a twelve-year-olds point of view. After reading the first page I think the story is about a boy who is struggling in life and how the war has torn apart his family. I think that the author is trying to show that we all go through hard times. The deeper meaning of the story might be that we all have problems in life
