The Holocaust was a very drastic period in the history of the world. The Holocaust began in the early 1930s.During this period of time, the German forces began to kidnap the Jews. Many Jews were taken away from their homes and were forced to work in concentration camps. The Jews were treated badly, and received a small amount of food. Some of the Jews were murdered in mass killings and were put to death by gas chamber. Many Jews were separated from their families and never saw them again. Only Jews that were fit to do work were the ones that survived during the Holocaust. Young children, women, and people of old age were put to death. Many people participated in the Nazi Party and were a part of the mass killings of Jews. Adolf Eichmann was one of these people. Adolf Eichmann was born in 1906, and died in 1962. Eichmann grew up in Austria and joined the Nazi Party in the year of 1932. Adolf Eichmann headed the Austrian Nazi office for Jewish emigration in 1938. Adolf Eichmann was a German National Socialist official. Adolf Eichmann promoted the use of gas chambers in the concentration camps all across the world. After joining the Nazi Party in 1932, Adolf became a member of the Schutzstaffel (SS), and the Security Service (SD), Eichmann developed expertise on Jewish affairs. At the concentration camp, Eichmann coordinated the train schedules. Eichmann participated in the Wannsee Coference. Adolf supervised the deportation of Hungarian Jews in spring and summer of the year 1994. Adolf Eichmann was convicted of the mass killing of Jews in 1945. Eichmann murdered almost 11 million Jews, or almost a third of the world’s Jews. Later after the trial a woman named Hana Yablonka wrote a book, or novel on Mr. Adolf Eichmann. Yablonka began to write her book after she did some studying of the trials and the mass killings of Eichmann. Yablonka stated that her book was a biographical study of Eichmann. Yablonka was not the only person who had a negative opinion of Adolf Eichmann. Adolf Eichmann had a lot to do with the mass killings of Jews in areas all around the world. He promoted the use of gas chambers and after a while almost every concentration camp across the world started to use them. Even though Adolf Eichmann was killed, maybe if he wouldn’t have promoted the gas chambers, a lot of Jews would have still been living all over the world.
