Title-Journey To America

I still can't forget the day when I came to America. It was the pleasant and very cold morning of 15th January 2016. My uncle was ready to pick up me and my family from JFK airport. It was a very exhausting, tiring and long non-stop 20-hour plane journey from India to America but the journey that I am never going to forget in my entire life. That journey changed everything - my life, my emotions, my beliefs, my thinking and my surroundings.
Back in my home country in India, when my family and I get to know that after waiting more than 12 years finally our application is been approved and now we can be permanent residents of America, the country where dreams come true. Our application was accepted from Immigration department. There were further steps to do before getting the plane ticket. We had to do our medical and Interview and after that, we will be able to be the permanent resident of America. At that time I was all thinking about how my life is going to get changed. I was very excited because I knew that in American schools there are no uniforms. There I can wear anything and I am going to have my own locker in school plus I can use my cell phone in school which was just seriously great. My all friends were kind of jealous from me because they knew that the high school education in America is so easy as relate to Indian educational system and I knew that too which is also the reason why I wanted to go to the America as early as I can. In India every day we had tests and extremely hard studies plus tons of projects and homework to do but now it will going to change for me because education in America is totally different, I knew that because my cousins study in their students don't just go to school to learn, they go to enjoy and to embrace their
