It was the morning of 2nd June, at 1:00 p.m., still pitch black outside, the phone rang. On the other side of the line, my sister excitedly told me to wake up. I rejected the call and put down the phone rang again; once again, my sister was calling me. This time her tone did not only sound frantic, but also acrimonious, yelling that she has been taken to the hospital. I woke up and sat back, thinking what could have happened to her, or if she is okay or not? And only after talking to my parents, I realized that she has been pregnant for about 9 months already. Instantly I jumped off my bed, wearing whatever I found lying on the floor and rushed with my parents to the hospital. Little did I know, I was about to witness a life changing experience later that day, which will make me look at relations differently from that day onwards. Within an hour, we lot reached to the hospital. As my heart throbbing beyond limits, my shoes making hard stomping sounds, I ran through the parking lot towards the main door. Making the way to elevator, the air around me got thicker than ever, my palms started to sweat as if it was the hottest day in summer. Tension was escalating slowly within me, as I met my uncle and aunt sitting in the emergency room; they seemed anxious and shaky about their daughter’s situation. I entered my sister’s room; …show more content…
in the morning, the sky was covered with the gloomy clouds, and my body was carving for a hot chocolate, but instead, had to find relief from the cold weather. But the joy in the room was more of a heartwarming than my carving for a hot chocolate, the baby had finally made it’s descend out to the real world; it is a cute baby “girl” my little princess. I started calling everyone and express the feeling of joy about the new princess.I was full of happiness when I heard the baby cry for the first time, which is a moment I may never forget. I was relaxed that it is all over with , like a runner after exhausting
Her eyes were heavy, her body weak. As she crawled into the bathroom two feet away, Abby felt her body slowly succumbing to the numbness. All of her pain would be gone in less than 10 minutes, so why would she want to turn back? What about the senior trip Abby had planned with her best friend? What about the chair at the dinner table that would now be vacant? A couple of hours later Abby’s family came home from her little sister’s soccer game. Little did they know what they would find as they approached the top of the stairs. Her little sister, Ali, stood still as she looked down at her feet. There on the cold floor lay her big sister, her role model, and her super hero. Ali was crushed when she saw the pill bottle in her hand and the pale color of her skin. Her mom fell to her knees screaming and crying, wondering where she
Everyone has a story, a pivotal moment in their life that started to mold them into the person they are today and may even continue to mold you to the person that you will become, I just had mine a little bit earlier than others. When I was three years old my brother became a burn survivor. It may seem too early for me to remember, but I could never forget that day. Since then, I have grown, matured and realized that what my family and I went through has been something of a benefit to be and an experience that has helped me in deciding what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Paramedics squeeze my arms, staining their gloves a deep red. Doctors and nurses scream at each other as they run across the hallways wheeling me into the operating theatre. I look over to my wrists as clear fluids begin their journey into my veins. My heart is in my throat, my pulse is echoing throughout the room, my limbs are quivering, and my lungs are screaming. Nurses force plastic tubes up my nose, as jets of cold air enter my sinuses, giving me relief. Inkblots dance before my eyes like a symphony of lights. A sudden sleepiness overcomes me and slowly my vision dims.
All of sudden her hurried pace slowed, trying to steady herself reached out for dad’s arm. At the same time, holding her up and hugging me tightly, explained, “They found a large mass above Eddie’s pelvis.” Mom was listening intensely. He continued, “The mass crushed his pelvis, the intensity of the pain caused the collapse”. Their conversation interrupted, a nurse approached with the release forms for surgery. Mom yelled, “What!” and burst into tears. “Can you please give us a second, we need to discuss this, my baby boy!”. Mom, the strongest among us, now seeing her tears flow, caused my fears to bubble to the surface for a bit. Suddenly, my dad clapped his hands to refocus us that Ed needed surgery now. His hand shook trying to sign the forms. Those papers represented the beginning of a long
Armin kept his hands clasped together in his lap, pulling and twisting at his fingers like an old dish rag. His nerves were at an all time high and the stress was eating away at his insides like a persistent virus that wouldn't go away. Armin shifted nervously in his chair, his fingers remained intertwined, and he clenched his jaw. He glanced around the room, from corner to corner, as if he was waiting for something, or someone, to pull him out of this nerve-wracking situation.
Hayley sighed and leaned back in the uncomfortable waiting room chair. She had been at the hospital since three in the morning, and needless to say, it was beginning to take it's toll on her. She hated the hospital with a passion, mostly because everything seemed so dreary, so sad. She might have went home hours ago, but she didn't want to leave her poor friend all alone. Of course others had come, however, they were more there for a story.
Soon, he caught the attention of a young pregnant woman who was standing in-front of the bookshelf and checking out the book of “New Parents Advice” with his husband. The women is around 30-35 years old, wore a low-heeled shoes with a big belly; while her husband showed people a mature feeling with his beard. And it is hard to tell how old is he. I can hear their conservation clearly since they were standing behind the bookshelf next to me. The couple was having a conservation about how to divide the work on taking care the upcoming baby in the future. Their conservation is full of love and with an air of expectancy. She always touched her belly gentlely and stretched the top of her head toward the ceiling while she was reading the book of with his husband. Their simile told me that she is so excited to meet their new born baby. However, her sentiment and emotion immediately affected by the disturbing atmosphere. The boy
The phone fell from the woman's hand, landing with a loud crash on the tile floor and busting to pieces. No matter how hard she'd try, she couldn't help the sobs that escaped from her mouth. They became louder and louder, until suddenly they came to a stop. All emotion flooded from her body, and she lay there motionless on the tile. Her two young children hovering over her, fear evident in their eyes. She sat up, grabbing her two young children into her arms, hugging them tighter than she ever had.
I was so confused and started asking questions, which my aunt had no information on. Concerned for my sister, I called my parents’ cell phones, soon realizing they both left them at home. There was nothing to do but wait. Not long after, my dad burst into the house with a frantic look on his face. I asked what was wrong.
My father knelt down and kissed my forehead as he said, “Don’t worry, Princess, Mommy will….Oh here she is now!” I sprang from my warm, sheltered seat and sprinted to the front window as quickly as my tiny legs could move. My fingers grasped the long, wooden windowsill and my little pug nose pressed against the window pain. My breath delivered a frosty appearance on the glass as my eyes strained to see my mother step out of her car. My toes ached with pain as I fought to stay in view with the outside world.

Her flawless jaw hung agape as she gazed at the ceiling, with beads of sweat rolling down her finely knitted brows. The ringing pain in her lower abdomen had yet to dissolve and nothing in the world could had eased it. Why hadn't her husband come yet? She was tired, feeling as if all the energy she had in her body was drained away, as if through the moment she gave birth, she truly offered a piece of her life to her beloved baby.
Today was the worst day of my life. My mom gave me good and bad news. The bad news was so horrible. The good news was very surprising. The bad news was so bad, that I started crying. My mom told me that I was MOVING!!!
I hope all is well with you and your family, and I just wanted to take a second to write to you about my pivotal experience on the mountain. Let me start, it was a cold, rainy spring day under the mountain and our headmaster just announced a mountain day. Students scrambled out of Allen theatre and many headed back to the dorms to get ready for a hike. I immediately headed back to the dorm with my buddies and got ready to hike up to Guilder. We grabbed a speaker, an extra pair of shorts, a bag of snacks, and some water:we were ready to go.
The Most Important Event in my Life The most important event in my life, didn’t even happen to me, but happened to my older sister, Becky. The reason I am writing about her is because the things that have happened to her and the things she has done in the past have affected me tremendously, as well as my family. Her life used to be filled with nothing else but drugs, stealing, and lying. My family has never been the same since then.
