Did you know that Queen Victoria’s wedding cake was 300 pounds? Also did you know the average cost of a wedding cake in 2013 was $451? That’s unbelievable, isn’t it? One last fact the tallest cake in the world, according the Guinness Book of World Records, the tallest cake in the world is 108.27 feet tall. Cakes are a sweet dessert, made from different types of ingredients, baked and decorated after. They are eaten most often in weddings, birthdays, or other celebrations. In order to be a successful cake decorator you have to know the history of cakes, education, job duties and salaries, and tools of baking a cake("Cake Facts: Cake Decorating by the Numbers"). The history of cakes goes back to ancient times. Cakes were very different back then. The ancient bread and cakes were sweetened with honey. To become a pastry chef there are different options to choose from. One option can be to open a store , or the other option could be to work at a fancy restaurant or hotel. The good things about being a pastry chef is that you get to see your own work and people being satisfied with what was done. Another good thing is that the workplace isn’t as rapidly as other jobs.
